"The bedrooms and bathrooms in this cottage are lovely, clean and a good size, the welcome basket was also a nice touch. The living area however is awful and nothing seemed to work. We were only there a matter of minutes before the owner requested a deposit of £250 - I'm not quite sure what for, but this is a dated concept, I have stayed in a lot of cottages over the years and never have I been asked for a deposit. To be fair to him I did find this in the small print on my confirmation letter, I still didn't part with it though. No wifi is unforgiveable in this day and age. There is a sign outside that says there is no wifi talk to each other - we do talk to each other actually, we also live in the real world. No wifi would have been manageable if the house didn't appear to be cased in iron as the minute you step anywhere near you lose your signal. The TV didn't work, there was an issue with the volume, so the owner showed us how to work around this and had also provided us with another smaller TV, so the big TV had no sound but you could switch on the smaller TV to get sound, it was like living in Curry's!!! I ordered a Tesco shop, the fresh items were absolutely not going to fit into the sub-standard fridge. I opened the dishwasher and just closed it again, I wasn't going to go there, a tip to the owner though is to put some salt in it! The rugs in the living room were absolutely disgustingly filthy, I wouldn't let the kids take their shoes off. I tried to hoover up but naturally that didn't work either, even the dustpan and brush were cracked, trying to sweep up all the wasps that we had to kill was a nightmare. The hob was ok, but the oven is hideous, it's impossible to cook a meal in it because it takes so long to heat up and didn't heat properly. There were 2 tin openers neither of which worked, I mean come on you can get those in poundland! I gave up when even the scissors didn't work...The games room was ok, the kids enjoyed it, the jukebox didn't work and the kids aren't allowed in there alone, even though its just next door. There was a sign for a £20 deposit. The barbecue outside looked surprisingly clean, however there is a charge for the gas so we gave that a miss. This cottage is in the middle of nowhere, you can't walk to the pub or anywhere actually. It was massively overpriced and the living area really needs to be cleaned and updated. The cheap TVs and sub-standard fridge are testament to the complete lack of respect the owner has for his guests. If you have a disposable £250 that you're happy to hand over for no reason, and if you don't keep getting pestered for it, don't want cold milk, like wasps, don't mind filth and sticky chairs this is the place for you. I love Norfolk but I won't be coming back here and I definitely would not recommend."

"What we appreciated the most was the peace and tranquility of this place. The cottage was supper clean and the bedding was perfect. We loved the fact that Tony and Pearl had two horses because my daughter who is not very well, benefited greatly from interacting with one of the horses whose’s stable was not too far from the cottage. We have been for relaxing walks at the back of the cottage and encountered a couple of deer and a fox and rabbits. We walked further and we found a tiny wooden bridge which we crossed. We had a fantastic surprise when we came across a beautiful pond with water lilies and all kinds of dragon flies some with colours we had never seen. A local told us that this pond had been there for 700years.We visited the local Church of Saint Mary’s in Denton and it is a truly beautiful church."

"Had a really lovely holiday. The cottage worked really well for us. Only problem with William Crump was that they didn't know what light bulb to fit main light in one of the bedrooms with , so did n't have a main light for the week.We also booked Briar cottage and the cleanliness was not too good. Would rate it as a five for cleanliness. Also the beds were a bit on the narrow side and could feel metal poles under two of the beds.Overall the two cottages worked excellently for us and had a wonderful holiday. Very good for the dogs. Nice o have the enclosed space around the cottages. William Crump was good for my mum's wheelchair, which was a great relief.. My nephews and niece loved the swimming pool and awas a great asset"

"We had a lovely welcome from Karen, she was very helpful and friendly, we had a bottle of wine and flowers and a doggy welcome pack left for us.Karen and her family have work very hard to make sure the cottage was very clean tidy and well laid out, the kitchen had been refitted new 3 piece suit, redecorated to a good standard. The dog walks were excellent around the family's lands around about 70 acers and rabbits, pheasants, foxes, dears, all on the doorstep, wonderful to and hear only the birds singing and see the night sky and stars. We met Karen's husband who was also friendly and helpful. We will be back as we have relations around this area and found a truly lovely cottage to stay. Thank you."

"My parents and I enjoyed our little break. The cottage is well equipped with comfortable seating and beds. The decor was lovely with white washed floor boards and blue painted doors. There was a couple little extras that would have been nice, if the kitchen had been supplied with Condiments and even a throw/blanket for the cooler months provided in the lounge. The indoor pool was great, warm and we had it all to ourselves. The only real downside was that electricity was included with our booking before the end of October but it ran out on day 2 and we needed to top up the meter, not a problem if we’d been made aware of this rather than going into pitch black at 10pm."
