"House is clean, modern and well maintained but lacks privacy in terms of curtains/window coverings and for that reason would not wish to stay there again. There are no window coverings at the bathroom window nor at the back of the house in the main living area which means that anyone at any time can look in. The windows in this area are floor to ceiling, as is the back door. Daughters and I felt unsafe in the dark as could not shield our living area from potential prying eyes. Property is overlooked at the back. Neither do the thin roller blinds cover all the bedroom windows so privacy also compromised in bedrooms too. Had to hang a towel at main bedroom window to cover a 5" gap in the middle. Not only is there a privacy issue but also one of light - have no desire to be woken up early when on holiday. The roller blinds are only thin too. There are minimal soft furnishings in the main living area which is fine but without any curtains at the back windows (which are floor to ceiling) and the back door, but only a couple of rugs and wooden floors throughout, it lacked any degree of cosiness and we felt incredibly exposed and, frankly, unsafe in the dark nights. If these minor issues were to be addressed the property would be fantastic and we would consider returning again."

"We have got really lovely holiday at S33794 Cottage! It is located in the wood so we could take advantage of silence, fresh air, being surrounded by trees, flowers, birds...The cottage is situated on the campsite but it was not a problem at all. In front of it there is a wall of forest and the caravans and tents are behind. Theres is a wooden playground for kids and some area in the wood (paths) that we could use as well. It was very convenient as we were there with kids.S33794 cottage was perfectly clean and well equipped. We've got everything we needed. The only thing we would add is a cupboard or shelf in the bathroom and a few hooks to hang the clothes or towels. The local area is great for walks! Beautiful countryside with many paths and streams.Battle and Hastings are quite close (we've got a car but there is also Crowhurst Rail Station - approximately 20 minutes by walk with three kids). In the village there is nice pub with delicious food...We recommend S33794 Cottage! :-)"

"Wonderful accommodation in every way. From the warm, friendly greeting to our regret at leaving - we enjoyed every moment of our stay. S13833 is well equipped and spotlessly clean, and is located in a delightful part of the East Sussex countryside. The charm is enhanced by the friendly goats (we loved Gemma), the ponies and the comical pigs. Not forgetting the many pheasants that amused us too! Cynthia is the best of hosts - charming as well as a superb cook. Her kindness in making a gluten free chocolate cake for us was only surpassed by our delight in eating it. 10 out of 10 for that cake! (Not forgetting the other goodies - the apple juice, eggs and marmalade). And a choice of two delightful, outside seating areas to enjoy a cafetiere of coffee ... perfect. Thank you for making our stay truly memorable."

"S42451 is a fabulous property in a stunning location and picturesque area and we were lucky enough to have the fabulous May Bank Holiday sunshine. However, please be warned the comings and goings of a young family with 4 boys and 2 dogs intruded on our privacy and tranquillity. The front door of the property opens directly onto a gravel drive. When cars come up the drive the noise is incredible. (In good weather the door needs to be open to get some air flow)Neither the paddock or the garden are secure. Coupled with the fact that the single track lane, directly in front of the property, was surprisingly busy meant that dogs had to be very closely supervised at all times. We hope this review is helpful to those for whom the points we have made would have been a problem."

"This is by far the best accommodation we have stayed in.Excellent facilities and presented to a beautiful high standard. Thoughtful touches here and there and great location for shops, restaurants and touring. We were all very happy here and would love to have stayed for longer. Comfortable beds, excellent storage space, beautiful bathroom and lots of space to relax in. Huge high spec kitchen with a fabulous conservatory and enclosed garden. The football table was enjoyed by all the family. I brought my 18 month old son with me and he had a wonderful time and even the cot and linen which was provided was thoughtful and beautifully presented. Thank you for our amazing stay."
