"On arrival to the cottage you're instantly greeted with stunning views and a nice sense of remoteness. The front door leads you into a small wooden vestibule and a further door into the open plan dining lounge area with a small wooden burner and separated by solid thick stone arches. To the left and through a doorway under the stairs is the large fully equipped kitchen and to the right is a small snug area with TV, a rear boot room/utility and wc. Upstairs off the landing is a double bedroom and bathroom to the right and a single and further double with ensuite to the left. Overall the facilities are very good, nice to have a couple of bottles of wine waiting for us, the location great and the views stunning. A few niggles - a basket of logs and starter log were supplied but nothing to light it with, we had to borrow from the neighbouring barn. You can't relax in front of the fire watching TV as they're in different rooms. The general cleanliness was a bit disappointing like mouldy/dirty shower screens, toothpaste on taps, some slightly dirty cups, some cobwebs and dust. We didn't complain about it (although contemplated) as I'm sure someone would have been sent to clean but in all honesty it should already have been done. This didn't detract from the enjoyment of our stay but certainly not expected from a 5* accommodation. We would certainly recommend S27042 and would stay again. (we left a large box of matches for the fire)"

"Travelled with family of mixed ages (8 through to 74) and all had a wonderful stay. The cottage was decorated to a very high standard and all facilities on site were as described. The location was quite rural, and it took us a couple of attempts to find the right access road, but this just added to the adventure. We were also advised of this beforehand so there were no surprises. The village itself is very small and doesn't have any shops but the small town of Tregaron was only a 10 minute drive away and had a Spar which was handy for break, milk, etc. and a lovely takeaway. The kids loved the outdoors area behind the cottage although this is probably quite weather dependent. They loved the large hot tub though in all weathers. Aberystwyth is only a 35 minute drive away if you need more civilisation and has all the usual high street chains, supermarkets, etc. and was nice for a trip to the seaside for an ice-cream and arcades, etc. Would also highly recommend a trip to Devil's Bridge to see the waterfalls and explore. I would highly recommend the property for those who don't mind the rural location and would definitely stay again."

"Lovely little house in a friendly little town. Despite the traffic being so close to the house got a good nights sleep. Owners lovely, very approachable and helpful. Would have liked a proper stair rail as the stairs are a bit steep and can be dangerous with nothing to grab onto. Nice and clean, well decorated, kitchen well kitted out. Hot tub spotless, owners check it daily and nice and warm. Locals in the town friendly. Good location if you want to go to different areas such as New Quay, Abereron, Ynyslas. Good Spa few meters down the road. Nice walks. Dog friendly other than the raised lawn meets a small gate between the garden and next door so had to place a box there to stop my dog jumping out, there is a small dog next door. Picnic table could have done with an upgrade."

"A group of us visited Llaethdy for a weekend away together and couldn’t fault the house. It was clean, great location, and good value for money. Mrs Jones even came out to visit us when we had arrived and changed one of the zip and link twins to a double as it was all couples staying. We were also welcomed with a mini hamper which was lovely. The village also has a co-op and some pubs which suited us well, and it’s a great location if you’re looking to do a few walks, no matter what ‘level’ of walker you are. Would highly recommend! Thank-you"

"Fantastic bungalow tucked away on the side of a hill with some great views and the owners were really friendly. The welcome pack was just amazing, a couple of beers and a home baked cake and tea bags etc. what more could you ask for? The log burner made the evenings really warm and cosy too. Great enclosed garden where our dog (and the kids) could run around. Swansea is only about 15 minutes away and the main beaches like Oxwich and Rhosilli can be reached in around 40 mins. We will be recommending to our friends for sure."
