"Beautiful location. Cottage had all we needed and the walled garden was just out of this world! So appreciated fresh vegetables on a daily basis. Staying early September, with no instructions on how to get the heaters in the property to work, the property was a little cold for my elderly parents. We did not seem to b3 able toget cold water out of the taps without running it for many minutes as I think the cold feed ran alongside the hot. This meant we had to put tap water in the fridge to get it to the required temperature.Lack of Internet was a real problem if you need to work and television reception was very poor.I would stay again tomorrow because the location was beautiful and a wonderful place to escape from the pressures of life in general. The vegetables in the walled garden were such an added bonus, any other problems in life just faded away!!"

"Fantastic holiday apartment, well equipped had everything we needed. The views from the apartment are amazing and listening to the sound of the waves when the tide was in it was amazing and relaxing,i didn't want our holiday to end. We were very lucky with weather. Local amenities are great, Appledore had alot to offer, we enjoyed the boat racing event from our own comfort didn't have to leave the house. Lovely places to eat Seagate pub serves amazing food, and also dont miss the best fish and chips from Sylvester fish shop. Also local shop John's was very convenient.Appledore is convenient to travel to other place,Westward Ho! Is only 10 minutes drive with good beach and you can easily access other towns nearby. Lots to do and see. I will definetly be going back."

"The property is stunning the view again stunning it would normally take me a day or two to relax but within a few hours I was totally relaxed even after an 11 hour drive. The 65”tv in the bedroom didn’t get used as the view made a better picture, when you wake up and open the patio doors and listen to the water it’s a great way to start your day.The local pub (The Beaver Inn) serves good food and the staff are very friendly. If I was pushed to find a fault with my stay it would be the parking, I only had to pay for one night in the car park which isn’t far from the property the rest of my stay I parked on the next street up. But the up side to that is you don’t get any traffic noise on your streetI would highly recommend this property."

"S44453 was a comfortable and well equipped base. Garry the owner was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed eating out on the small decked area and found the local shop, the fish and chip shop (just a few doors away) and Memories restuarant all very convenient. As someone who enjoys walking I was pleased to be able to explore a different footpath each day from the doorstep, most walks ending up on the estuary looking over Instow, up to Bideford or on to the Northam Burrows leading to the lovely sanddunes and miles of sandy beach and shallow waters to Westwood Ho! Do try the delicous Hockings coffee ice cream from the van in Westward Ho!"

"Jacks Barn is absolutely beautiful and without a doubt the best holiday house we have ever stayed in. The location was very peaceful and the barn was equipped to an extremely high standard with everything you could possibly need provided. If we could move in and stay for ever we would do!We were able to visit all the places we wanted to in the area including Padstow, Port Isaac, Boscastle and Bude to the south and Clovelly, Westward Ho!, Croyde, Woolacombe and Illfracombe to the north due to the easy access to A39.Thank you to the lovely owners for the welcome gifts and we hope to return in the future for another perfect holiday."
