"Our stay in Badger's house was good. The location is fab with a children's play area, lake, woodland walks, a swimming pool and games room. It was lovely and quiet and the garden with trampoline was great. We had a lovely week exploring the local area and there was lots to do for our younger grand children of 2 and 6 and also the older two who are 13 and 15. We used the fish and chip shop and the Indian takeaway in Holsworthy and both meals were excellent. We made good use of the onsite amenities especially the pool, it kept the older 3 busy and when they had had enough of it they used the games room. We felt the house could do with a bit of an update and some tlc but overall it was very good. Our only complaint was the large number of flies in the games room, pool and in the double ensuite bedroom. When we arrived the flies in the bedroom covered the windows like a black curtain, it was awful. My daughter used fly spray to kill them and fortunately only had a few each day after that. However the games room had dead flies everywhere and the inside of the pool roof had a large swarm in one area. Consequently there were dead flies in the pool and round the edges. We addressed the problem with the caretaker who told us they had tried everything to get rid of them. I would suggest contacting a local pest control firm, there must be something that can be done. We book a property with pool every October half term as a treat for our family so unfortunately we would not return to S59808 now knowing that they get an infestation of flies every year at that time."

"On arrival the cottage was clean and very well kept, nice and spacious even for a family of 4. There was a welcome pack of fresh bread, butter, tea and coffee and packet of biscuits waiting for us which was a very nice and tasty surprise. We made full use of the onsite pool and sauna and on most occasions had it to ourselves. There is a little park at the side of the fishing lake with really nice play equipment and a shared bbq area. If you are going to make use of the fishing lake make sure you have a big net, it is well stocked with very large fish swimming close to the surface.Inside the cottage was comfortable and nicely decorated. If you are use to high pillows I would suggest to take one with you as this was the only down point to our break. Just outside of the cottage is a decked area with a table and chairs where you can enjoy the afternoon sun. Overall we had a fantastic week with fantastic weather and wouldn't hesitate a return stay here."

"No 4 The S18889 is a lovely, small cottage. I know it is being re-decorated the week following our visit (the owner told me) and when it looks refreshed, I'm sure it will be great. The shower is a little small, but the water is hot and the bathroom was very clean. The kitchen is very well equipped and the welcome pack was much appreciated - always lovely to arrive somewhere where you can make a cup of tea with real milk :) The bed was very comfortable with decent bed linen. There is no DVD - this is mentioned in the description, so needs updating. But the TV is new and works well. The swimming pool is lovely and my husband really enjoyed the fishing. Overall, it was a wonderful, relaxing, peaceful location and holiday."

"The bungalow is large and spacious and does have all the equipment required for a family stay. However, the place needed a really good clean and some areas were lacking in maintenance. The bathroom had carpet which is definitely not a good choice in a holiday let. People had not been very careful and the smell was not good. We selected this property primarily for the heated pool. It was not warm enough to use in an an enjoyable manner. The neighbours obviously do not like the fact that they live next door to a holiday let and they made it clear. Very rude and made our stay very awkward."

"We had a great holiday with my daughter, son in law and 5 grandchildren. There ages ranged from 19 months to 16 years and all enjoyed the facilities. The cottage was well equipped with everything we could need for the children, even down to a toilet step and special small person seat. We had a great time, used the local shop at Sheepwash and the Bickford Arms at Holsworthy. Walks through the wood, swimming in the pool and the games room kept everyone busy for the whole week. Our only regret is we didnt book for 2 weeks as none of us wanted to go home."
