"3 hours after arriving at Hobland Barn the gas supply ran out, and as there wasn't any gas we couldn't take a shower or do any cooking, so every night for 4 nights we had to boil kettles for 10 people. Our Grandchildren and foster child were looking forward to using the swimming pool, so using it was out of the question. The owner of the property initially blamed it on the gas supplier, but we later discovered the supplier was made bankrupt long before. When the gas delivery man arrived on Wednesday morning he informed me that as the previous gas supplier went bust there was no way of checking the gas level through them. Every year we treat our sons, their partners, Grandchildren and foster children to a holiday where we could all have quality time together, but unfortunately this holiday turned out to be very stressful for everyone. The owner was kind enough to treat us all for a meal at her restaurant, she also didn't charge us for using the pool when the heating came back on. As there were 10 of us we declined her offer to send us to a hotel every day to take a shower. We notified the owner that we found a soiled nappy between the mattress protector and bed sheet, and she said it was disgusting . In another room there were mouse droppings behind a cupboard, and when we pointed out that the bed sheets were soiled in one of the beds she immediately replaced them. In the children's upstairs bedroom the window glass was held together with sellotape. Prior to making our journey to Hobland Barn we received a phone call from the owner to inform us that there was a leak in the upstairs shower, and not to use it. When we eventually had hot water we could only use 1 wet room and 1 bath between 10 people."

"A lovely place, but one of the main reasons that we chose this was for the WIFI, I needed this as a prerequisite as I run a business and needed to complete some transactions whilst away. The instructions left on the fridge did not work, I phoned and left messages, sent text messages and email messages, in all over a dozen times, In addition to this, the literature said, see the following website for details BUT this was an email address, not a website!!. When we did get to the website, it was under construction. 2 days before we left, I had a message, rather rude in my opinion, no apology or anything, simply ''follow the instructions on the fridge'' To make things worse, when we called in to reception, they stated ''nothing to do with me mate, you must have booked direct'' We did in fact get WIFI at 8:39pm the night before we left!! In essence, the villa was fine, but if you need WIFI, don't go."

"A really lovely cottage with lots of personal touches. Loved the welcome tea/coffee biscuits, thank you. Living area was much larger I thought it would be and the children's room is spacious, even with 4 beds up. The pool and games room were a very welcome addition (though boiler was broken second half of holiday and the water was freezing - didn't stop the children going in though; just the adults!). Private garden area was small, though larger than other houses in the complex, but large open space in front on the house meant it wasn't an issue. Only negative was the shower: was very easy to scold yourself and we could only really use it at certain times of the day when no-one else was using any water. Was concerned about the children using it but there was bath!"

"Lime Tree Cottage is spacious, comfortable and clean. It is very child friendly with necessary equipment available plus toys and games. The cottage is thoughtfully equipped and set in lovely surroundings. It was pleasant to stroll round the grounds and look over the Blyth valley. Due to unforeseen circumstances we were unable to use the pool which looked very inviting. The coast at Southwold was a short drive away and we had a couple of meals at the pub in Blythburgh. Availability of a food shop nearby was probably the sole negative factor about staying here. The nearest supermarkets were in Southwold which meant finding somewhere to park. Apart from that we all had a great time. Our party included one 3 and a half year old and one 7 month old."

"Had a really lovely holiday. The cottage worked really well for us. Only problem with William Crump was that they didn't know what light bulb to fit main light in one of the bedrooms with , so did n't have a main light for the week.We also booked Briar cottage and the cleanliness was not too good. Would rate it as a five for cleanliness. Also the beds were a bit on the narrow side and could feel metal poles under two of the beds.Overall the two cottages worked excellently for us and had a wonderful holiday. Very good for the dogs. Nice o have the enclosed space around the cottages. William Crump was good for my mum's wheelchair, which was a great relief.. My nephews and niece loved the swimming pool and awas a great asset"
