"Very stylish flat however not the high standard we have come to expect from a rural retreat. Lighting in the apartment was very poor. Given that natural light into this ground floor flat is minimal, lighting is extremely important at key areas including the kitchen, dining table and near wardrobes. Also it wasn't clear from the website that it was a ground floor apartment - could hear people moving around upstairs (although not they weren't noisy it wasn't expected so not relaxing). Also there was a musty smell: especially in the family bathroom (despite keeping door open for the whole of our 8 night stay); wardrobe in main bedroom (had to keep doors open for the whole of our stay); chest of drawers in main bedroom (couldn't use at all). Lastly not sure whether equipment is checked before new visitors arrive e.g.. toaster only toasts on one side of each piece of bread, blunt chopping knives, light bulb in cooker hood needs replacing. Attention and care that is usually there in a rural retreat was sadly missing...."

"We really enjoyed a thoroughly relaxing holiday in the Links Apartment overlooking the sea at Brora. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. All the kitchen and laundry equipment worked! We slept really well in the cosy beds. Brora is a small, local village and not particularly scenic but it does have a decent Co-op for food shopping - and is in a really convenient location for touring. We headed up to John o'Groats and the Castle of Mey. We visited Dornoch, Lairg and many lochs. It was brilliant to be so near such beautiful highland scenery. And we loved looking out across the North Sea from our living room window at the Links as well as walking along the beautiful beach on the other side of the golf course. We'd definitely go back."

"Very nice, spacious apartment, well located, generally comfortable and well-equipped (see below) and we enjoyed our stay very much. My only complaints relate to:1. The double bed in the galleried bedroom had broken slats - luckily only being slept in by one ( light) adult. My husband and I shared the other double bed which was extremely uncomfortable and in my opinion should be swiftly replaced by something of better quality (and possibly bigger).2. A property sleeping 6 could also do with a rather bigger supply of crockery and cutlery (otherwise you're either constantly washing up between meals or running the dishwasher half empty), also more roasting/baking tins and at least one non-stick saucepan."

"Location great but be prepared to travel for sightseeing. Be careful using sat Nav if up near Inverness as inputting Fort Augustus takes you on a single lane back road for 30+miles, you need to put in Fort William. The apt is very good with use of the steam room, sauna and pool a bonus in the winter.Eating out was good value although restricted as a number of places were closed. Unfortunately this included the sites Boathouse restaurant that was supposed to open in December but was still closed when we left on 6th December.A visit to Eilean Donan Castle is a must and the cable car ride at Ben Nevis.Special mention to Lock Inn for great sized portions of quality food."

"In the apartment's description it wasn't unfortunately mentioned that S44719 was part of a five apartment complex in the Brother's Wing. The only windows (front-facing) looking into a rather small courtyard where a ventilation system was constantly switched on. Sleeping with an open window isn't advisable. The ceiling was paper-thin, we always heard every movement from above when that apartment was rented (which wasn't the case all the time we stayed there). It also wasn't mentioned that there are about 100 flats in the whole complex, so it was bigger than we had expected. Though we weren't bother by that as it wasn't the main season when we stayed there."
