Cornwall Cottages with Swimming Pools

Cornwall might be famous for its amazing beaches, but not everyone wants to swim in the sea! So, if you like your water a little warmer than the Atlantic and hate the thought of sea critters nibbling at your toes, Cornwall has plenty of cottages that come with their very own pool. Why not have a touch of indulgence on your next summer holiday, and pick from a choice of cottages in Cornwall with pools and hot tubs?

The ancient and mysterious county of Cornwall is a perennial favourite with families, lured here by tales of King Arthur, glorious countryside, fabulous beaches, and delicious pasties! While you may be expecting plenty of rural retreats and cottages with roses around the door, there's the opportunity to treat yourself and your kids a little bit too, with a choice selection of Cornwall cottages with swimming pools. Indoor or outdoor, heated or unheated, you can splash about to your heart’s content without battling crowds or dodging jellyfish.

Fun for water babies and landlubbers alike

From dramatic, rugged clifftops to the incredible biodomes of the Eden Project, Cornwall offers so much all year round. Give in to the temptation of treats like traditional Cornish ice cream and that essential, the clotted cream tea, or wonder at its ancient landmarks like the Mên-an-Tol or the mist-shrouded Arthur’s Castle at Tintagel.

Cornwall is also famous for its surfing, and at Fistral Beach near Newquay you’ll see experienced tanned surfers of all ages 'hanging ten' and living the dream. But if you prefer your water a little less choppy than the Atlantic in full flow, dramatic as it may be, then Cornwall cottages with swimming pools make a perfect alternative to sand in your sandwiches and long walks from the car park to the beach.

Cottages in Cornwall with pools are the ideal choice for families who want to have all the fun of a resort, but with the luxury and privacy of a cottage holiday in one of the UK's favourite regions. With a mild climate and a friendly welcome, cottage holidays in Cornwall are a year-round attraction. Choose a cottage with a pool and you have all the ingredients of a holiday to remember.

"The pool wasn’t well laid out with where the step was to get in very awkward, was smaller than expected, nowhere to shower after getting out without having to go through the house and upstairs to the showers, wet room was like a hospital bathroom,so clinical no character or homelyness in it whatsoever, the other shower was good apart from the fact there was only a shower curtain instead of door for shower, curtain constantly gets stuck on you and also the floor ended up like a pool from this, bedrooms again lacked any homely feel, all felt a bit old people’s home on the upper floor, downstairs was much better however living room area is nowhere near large enough for the 6 people the house holds, the kitchen was great, a great size with all the mid cons and utensils you could wish for to be able to cook, the pool table was great to have, the dart board had no darts so couldn’t use, we did find the property a little child unfriendly because of things that could be touched or opened with wires etc, the whole place was a little tired and in need of some tlc, the property is quite overlooked too, and unfortunately we wouldn’t return to this property again. The owner left a fabulous welcome hamper which we were completely taken aback by and was hugely thankful for it was a wonderful thought and greatly received"

"The house is wheelchair friendly, not disabled friendly. Back twin bedroom is very noisy due to pool circulating pump vibrating and humming 24/7 we didn't use it in 2 weeks. Be careful when sitting on beds as they move immediately due to castors/flooring. Swimming pool has no handholds for anyone entering from the steps end (very, very close to wall) you must have good balance. There is no moveable garden furniture only a picnic style benches/table (fixed). Unfortunately, the sitting room furniture is one settee and small if six people using and not particularly comfort and low for disabled persons. TV has be rather loud to overcome the noise of the poor circulating pump. The swimming pool hoist is wonderful and the pool temperature is lovely and warm and the kitchen set up is great. Martyn the owner is great and could not be more helpful. We understand the pool pump is to be replaced sometime this year.We had a reasonable two weeks which could have been better especially without annoying constant pool pump noise/vibration. Remember to take the front door key with you, because if there is a power cut you can't regain access to the house without it (electronic door entry system) ."

"It could be fantastic with a few adjustments. In both the twin rooms upstairs only 1 of the skylights had working blinds. And the windows that did have blinds, the blinds were light coloured so didn’t really do anything to keep the light out. My children were up with the sun every morning and so were we. I booked the cottage on the premise that there was WiFi available. It was definitely one of the main criteria when we were looking for accommodation. We have small children who go to bed early and we wanted to watch films on the computer. Also, they like to relax with their kindles after a busy day exploring. Unfortunately, there was no WiFi available in Goose Cottage. I really feel that this cottage cannot be advertised as WiFi enabled and feel quite angry that it is not as advertised. We asked the vendors and were told they had someone coming Monday. There was still no WiFi when we left. On the other hand, my children thoroughly enjoyed feeding the animals everyday and the owner was lovely with the children. Very patient with the thousand questions asked. I feel quite bad with the low scores as most things were great, but our main criteria wasn’t sufficiently met."

"Lovely location, great views, property could of been great, but was let down by not being cleaned after the previous guests, had no use of hot tub till late 2nd day. Main dining area is great but on Sunday if you dont reserve lunch, you will be turned away.Cottage was covered in dust that has taken years to accumulate, blood and urine on sheets and throws,Kitchen was covered in grease cobwebs, a broken glass in cuboards with dirty cutlery, made for a very uncomfortable stay.It was clean as you go, as the family were tired of this we left a day early. No tennis courts, been out for weeks, we gave up with our complaint we were in a queue and the lady at reception lied to the guests in front of us, about similar issues, so we turned awaywas more like the movie carry on campingAfter a 10 hour drive you want to be able to relax, not be told dont touch or use anything since the cottage had not been cleaned.Once the cleaning team arrived 2 days into our stay, they did bare minimum as they did not seem interested in keeping the owners properties clean and good presentation."

"Unfortunately first impressions let this property down. The holiday park itself is in need of tlc and is a little run down. The swimming pools were a bonus. S20842 could be greatly improved with a bit of care to the outside - fixing the lodge number for starters. When venturing in we found a few left over wrappers, sweets in a cupboard and a flannel from previous occupants. However the crockery was all clean as were the beds and the bathrooms. I was disappointed there was no soap within the property and luckily I’d brought my own washing up liquid. The master bed was rock hard and had the noisiest springs which didn’t make for a restful night. There was also no information whatsoever within the property regarding the site; such as swimming pool openings, or about the property - bins etc. Overall we had a good holiday and enjoyed our stay but first impressions were underwhelming and could easily be improved."
