What our customers are saying about our Summer Holiday Cottages In Eyemouth To Rent.

"We stayed for one week in hawthorn cottage, Paxton and where pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The cottage is one of three in a quiet setting just outside Paxton village one and half miles over the Scottish border and just five miles from Berwick upon Tweed. The cottage has all the equipment you will need and to top it off a open fire which we lit most evenings and sat in front of with a glass of wine. The cottage has two bedrooms one double and two single beds and a lovely garden to sit in. Diane who looks after the cottage is lovely, nothing was too much trouble if you needed anything. A very relaxing stay in a lovely cottage, what more could you want!"

"Comfortable and well-equipped cottage on the side of a quiet road, just outside Paxton. We were, however, glad we'd taken a digital radio as reception on the FM radio provided was very poor.Paxton has a pub with good beer but only average food. The village has no shop, for which you need to go to Berwick (5km).Surrounding countryside is pleasant, but unspectacular although with some good views. The quiet roads make it excellent for cycling but walkers would probably want to try further afield - such as the coast path near Eyemouth and St. Abbs Head."

"Simply beautiful. This was a last minute booking and as such, we didn't expect too much from it. What a wonderful surprise to find such a well kept, spotlessly clean and well appointed cottage. We loved the views, peace and quiet, easy to find location and virtually everything about the cottage. The spiral staircase was a worry at first, but take it slowly and there are no problems, my husband is the most clumsy man ever, but he had no issues. Would highly recommend this cottage to friends and family and we will be back as soon as we're able."

"Apartment was generally ok. There was no table and the small breakfast bar was rather cramped for 2. There was no chopping board in the kitchen. I bought a small one which I brought home with me. I was concerned that the kitchen surfaces would be damaged if people had to cut food on them.We felt that the outside of the building and the communal areas were overdue for some maintenance. There was no light on the stairs up to the apartment. The owner lives some distance away and is therefore not close enough to oversee the flat."

"The view from the property was fantastic; it looked straight out to sea across the harbour. As there was a balcony we were also able to sit out and enjoy the view. St Abb's is a lovely village and we enjoyed walks out along the coast, particularly around St Abb's Head. We visited Berwick and Edinburgh using the bus from the village, so we were able to leave the car in its parking space for most of the week. We used the car once to go out to see the abbey at Melrose. It really is a fantastic and varied area."
