"We would strongly recommend S85945 as the ideal place to explore the highlands. All the fixtures and fittings were top of the range and nothing was lacking. The owner, Paul is attentive without being intrusive and the welcome pack he left was amazing. The house was warm and comfortable and the bed especially was very comfortable, which is a must for us.The photos don’t convey how big or beautiful this house is, it would easily accommodate a large family or 3 couples. It is just off a road but this quietened down in the evening and didn’t cause us any disturbance at all. Whilst there is nothing very close to the house within a 20 minutes drive there is a large supermarket and a small town centre which is great for picking up supplies. The only thing I would point out is that most parts of the house have some stairs and the main staircase is quite steep so it wouldn’t be suitable for anyone with significant mobility issues. We would definitely stay again, in fact I was very sad to leave as the house was perfect."

"We had a lovely holiday at S85945 in Garve. The house itself is beautiful and is fully equipped and wonderfully comfortable. We loved the wood burning stove, the plentiful hot water for baths after days spent outside enjoying the lovely countryside. The welcome pack of food and drink items was much appreciated particularly the local cheese and bread which we then went in search of to buy to take home. Fresh flowers in every room was such a nice touch.Garve is a great location for visiting the north west and north east coasts. We played golf at Ullapool, Bonar Bridge-Ardgay and Strathpeffer, visited Dunrobin Castle which was a great day out, and climbed Munros. Local walks too were lovely. If we can we will return."

"Although my comments appear out of synch with previous visitors to this cottage who seem to have found the cottage to their taste, it wasn't mine. The kitchen was well enough equipped and the cottage was clean on arrival. There were a number of maintenance issues o/s when we arrived which should have been found and dealt with before arrival, and there was an unfortunate insect/lava infestation which marred the overall picture as well.I found there was insufficient furniture especially in the main bedroom and the the furniture generally was a little shabby.I did speak to the owner on these points and lets just say his customer service skills need honing."

"It's a warm and comfortable cottage which is adequately equipped. It was clean and tidy on our arrival and the provision of bread, cake and other goodies was most welcome. The garden is secure and our dogs loved it. Beware the road outside the cottage, although in a 30mph area, a lot of vehicles seem to ignore it and drive past at some speed, especially those coming down the hill. The track across the road is good for dog walking and leads to a sawmill and walks through the woods, again much enjoyed by the dogs. S6357 is well located for touring the area and within walking distance of Strathpeffer, an interesting Victorian Spa."

". The lodge is one of four in a small group so don't expect to have no neighbours. The owner was very friendly as were all the locals we met. We had a very old dog with us who as quoted in the rules Sat and slept on his bed. Unfortunately and this is not a reflection on the owner we had to buy some air freshener for one of the sofas as it smelt of dog and this would not be the case if dog owners followed the rules of the lodge. The lodges position is everything we wanted. Strathpeffer is a beautiful place as is the surrounding areas.many thanks for the treats you left. We definately would visit you again."
