"Just a quick note to say how much we all enjoyed our stay at Ropewalk Cottage. The views were wonderful and we managed some great walks nearby on the Heart of England way (although we didn't look quite as professional as most!). The rooms were extremely comfortable, very clean and the house well equipped. Perfect size for our extended family. We loved the nespresso machine and the dishwasher:-)) The one thing we felt was missing was a broom - (as my sisters kids left a lot of toast crumbs!). and we weren't sure about how to recycle plastics? Otherwise it was great! I'm sure the garden and BBQ will get more use in the summer - but I enjoyed one sunny morning having breakfast there until the clouds re-appeared. We managed to find some local NT properties - Snowshill Manor is just up the road about 4 miles away and is completely unique - well worth a visit, and especially if you like Samurai armour! Broadway Tower was also great - the views reminded me of Tara..and a very nice lunch to be had in the coffee shop there too. We managed to get over to Burford where my sister and family had a fab day out at the zoo - highly recommended and kept the kids happy. Personally, I was happy perusing the shops and drinking coffee and eating cake in Huffkins:-)"

"I searched far and wide to find the perfect place to celebrate my wife's fortieth and I'm so pleased that I chose Ropewalk Cottage. It was a gem surrounded by the beautiful crown of the Cotswolds. The owners have taken great care to provide all you could need inside the cottage: from the Nespresso machine to the lovely decoration of the bedrooms and bathrooms, there was no detail overlooked. As a the centre of the holiday celebrations, we were also able to welcome friends and family to stay. Everybody who walked into the door was wowed by the luxury and felt, as we did, perfectly at home. Stephanie and Oliver - the owners - took great care of all of our needs whilst we stayed. They provided a bottle of champagne to start the holiday, which was a wonderful way to begin. From there the cottage was a base for us to explore lots of the beautiful villages that are the essence of the Cotswolds and were so wonderfully charming. I strongly recommend Ropewalk Cottage and have every intention of returning."

"Have just returned from three nights staying at Ropewalk Cottage and wanted to say thank you for a lovely stay. The cottage was in a really peaceful location just a minutes walk from the centre of the village. The cottage itself is really cosy, especially the living area with comfy sofas and a log burning fire. There was enough seating space for 6 adults in the living area and around the dining table. The beds were also really comfy and I slept very well! We ate at the local pub for lunch one day which did good pub food and had a log fire which was nice to sit in front of and read the papers. We also went in to Chipping Camden which has lots of lovely shops and cafes and from there we walked some of the Cotswalds Way. Overall a really relaxing stay and we hope to return soon to this beautiful part of the world."

"The cottage has very old fashioned decor and gives the impression of being tired and unloved. Just small things but the windows were dirty on the inside and out, the microwave grill did not work so we had to eat out and the hot water was so hot it could have scalded you. It says pets allowed but is certainly not pet friendly, every time our dog wanted to go out we had to put her lead on and walk her along a quite dangerous road no mater what time of day or night. (something that should be made clear in the booking details). There was no where to sit out where we could relax as the garden area was not secure allowing our pet to wander around and the table was in front of the owners window which was intimidating. The location is good if you are visiting the Cotwolds."

"Bakery Cottage was in a lovely setting and we enjoyed our stay in the area. The lack of an oven and full size hob would have been an issue for us if we were to be cooking in the cottage. We mainly ate with friends that live in the area but would have been more difficult if we were eating in. We appreciated being able to take an extra dog, that the owners kindly agreed, however felt the £25 per dog charge for 3 nights be excessive. I am not sure that this is set by the owner but more likely by the agents as a standard fee. We didn't meet the owners as they were away but did meet the son and a neighbour who was feeding their cat and all very friendly. Be aware the lack of parking could be an issue but we managed fine. Overall I would recommend this cottage for 2 people."
