What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Staffin To Rent.

Mr AshmoreMrs TierneyE ONightowl6117Miss Elliott - verified booking

"It is a comfortable cottage with good facilities. Our three Labradors enjoyed their stay and the good local walks.! We have spent a week walking the lovely beach and pathways . It was truly a lovely holiday, relaxing and certainly away from the rush of life . My two dogs had a great time and for the old one I think she has been reborn.... ( must be the air ) I can't say enough about ambers except I will be back god willing Thanks again !We enjoyed a 2 week stay here. The cottage has an amazing view of the Quiraing ridge and the beach. An easy 10-15 minute walk to the beach nearby, or a good walk down to the pier. The cottage was clean, tidy and suited all our needs. The owner and housekeeper were great at making sure we had all we needed. Shops nearby are limited and expensive. We did our big shop at Portree and then just topped up where needed nearby. Portree is about half an hour drive away. Had a fabulous stay here and would highly recommend to anyone looking to get away from it all. No wifi, and wifi is limited on the island, but detoxing is good every now and again! Can't really fault the cottage, comfy beds, slept really well. A hair dryer would have been appreciated, but otherwise the cottage was well equipped and clean. Photos a bit deceptive, we thought the sea was closer than it is, the 'beach' not very enticing. Not much in the way of local ammenities in the area, two shops which close quite early and don't open at all on a Sunday. No pubs, you have to go into Portree which is about 13 miles away on a single track road.Peaceful and relaxed stay. Very comfortable cottage with excellent facilities. Really appreciated being allowed three well behaved dogs, which is hard to find. Fantastic views. Would recommend."

Mags - verified booking

"We booked S9673 for a the Christmas week. It was all we hoped for. Warm cosy and beautifully appointed. Two en-suite bedrooms, a large well equipped kitchen diner and a cosy lounge with WiFi, Sky TV, DVD player and a selection of up to date films, games (no cards but we got some at the village shop) and a couple of jigsaws. The weather during our week was not too good and Skye and the NW of Scotland were lashed by Storm Barbara with high winds and heavy rain. It was so bad that sometimes the TV reception disappeared! The internet due to a lightning strike on the island was very patchy - not the fault of the owner! There is a very well stocked village shop with good fresh local bread as well as everything you would need. Be warned that on Skye in the winter months the majority of cafes and restaurants close so don't go expecting to eat out a lot. Our nearest restaurants were in Portree which meant a 30 mile round trip drive in bad weather. The owner Liz was charming and couldn't do enough for us - she even gave us the Christmas tree she had had in her classroom which really made the cottage seem very Christmassy. Skye is bigger than we realised but we found that S9673 was well located for various attractions such as the Old Man of Storr, The Quirang and Mealt Falls. We cannot recommend this cottage highly enough it was all and more than we had expected. Thank you Liz."
