"One of the best cottages we've stayed in. It is fairly new and hence very clean and fresh. Accommodation is very comfortable throughout, equipped to a high standard with all the facilities one would expect. We were warmly welcomed by Lilian who is a delightful person and who provided staple essentials upon arrival: some milk, bread, biscuits (and even a bottle of wine). The fridge has only an upper freezer compartment but this proved to be plenty big enough for our needs. Location is in pleasant rolling farmland - it is just away from both sea and main mountain groups so requires a drive almost everywhere, but this is more than compensated for by the loveliness of the surroundings. Hares and other wildlife abound! We were truly sorry to have to leave at the end of the week and will certainly be back. Thoroughly and wholeheartedly recommended."

"S24271 is a wonderfully appointed cottage, comfy and spacious (We are a family of five + dog). The cottage is well furnished with everything you need, pantry even has a supply of the basics and a welcome bottle of wine! The cottage is in a beautiful, peaceful location with stunning views over Loch Ness. There are many great walks right outside the door and it's easy to travel along the B852 to visit many local attractions.Phone signal can be quite sporadic and there's no internet connectivity in the property (which is good in some ways!)The nearest shops are in Foyers (about 2 miles), for shopping, Tesco is about 12 miles north on the edge of Inverness so best to bring a week's shopping. We would highly recommend S24271 to other families who like the great outdoors and want to be situated in a great location."

"The cottage was a little run down and deff needed a little tlc. The view was amazing and although it was away from all amenities this was what we wanted. My main issue was the wasp nests within the house. I had very young children who were stung on more than 1 occasion. This meant they spent the week terrified and i was thankfull neither were allergic. I spoke to the caretakers who did come to deal with the issue but only spraying wasp spray around the entrance of the nests this went on for 3 days and they never actually dealt with the overall issue. I went mid July so I dont believe that was the first they knew about the wasps and this should have been dealt with prior to any1 getting there and dealt with professionally. I got the impression they weren't interested."

"Excellent central location for our hill walking activities. Garden not really pet proof as dog could get out onto road where traffic passed very quickly indeed. Serious height constraint in upstairs bedrooms - no one over 5ft 8in tall could stand upright. This needs to be made clear in the description of the cottage. Sun lounge lovely - best part of the cottage; we lived in there all the time and, unusually for Scotland, there was lots of sunshine. Very limited number of cups, bowls etc - we were always washing up to re-use crockery. Our non hill-walker was a bit disappointed by lack of local activities and interests; although Beauly close with good shops, pub etc. Owner visited a couple of times and was very pleasant."

"Lovely comfy beds, very good shower . The fridge freezer is really too small for 4 adults needs. The cottage is quite well equipped pot towels , enough wash powder for one wash and dish cloth etc.The garden is amazing for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful scenery ( beware the wasps)The bathroom tap is very hard to turn off fully and the toilet seat moves but otherwise a great place to stay . In fact will be returning next year🙂The cottage is hellishly difficult to find ,the only help I can offer is there is a traffic cone opposite the entrance to Stables and dairy cottage, the entrance to checkers is approx 100 yards on if the cone is on your right ."
