"Situated along a rural lane in the village of Coney Weston in north Suffolk, close to Thetford, Bury St.Edmunds and Diss, we had booked three nights in early March. Sally, who with her husband Keith own the property, had already been in touch to explain key collection etc. They met us as we walked to the rear of their house. We were impressed with the welcome, and they explained among other things that if we needed anything just ask. They had horses in the field to the rear of the garden, and told us that we would see them walking down the garden every morning to attend to them, but that they wouldn't be obtrusive, which we like. We entered S44139 and were immediately struck by how clean and fresh the property smelt. As we explored, I can only say that this is a 5 star property. It is excellent! All fixtures and fittings are contemporary, everything worked (we have stayed in properties where the standards are not what we would expect) and Sally and Keith had provided us with a bottle of wine, milk, chocolates and a packet of biscuits! Fresh flowers were on the lounge table. Marvellous! The lounge, bedroom, kitchen, bathrooms (there is a downstairs toilet) were first rate. Plenty of reading material, games etc. The comments in the visitors book justifiably sang S44139 praises. The television had a good signal and plenty of choice (Freeview?). There was a television in the bedroom but we didn't use it. Wi-Fi worked well. It even has it's own section of garden to the rear. Although the property is attached to the main house, it might just as well be detached such is the layout. Plenty of wildlife was on offer. S44139 is dog friendly and we had planned to bring our dog but didn't in the end. However, there was plenty of evidence that our dog would have been very happy. All in all, a great weekend. We will hopefully return."

"From arrival to departure everything about our stay in Suffolk at S88458, John O' Groats was wonderful. Roses climbing up the garden wall, Birdsong, Deer, Hares, Wonderful. Its an excellent location for all sorts of exploring . We've walked Devils Dyke, ambled around beautiful gardens, been to the ballet, punted on the Cam and much more. Wicken Fen also a delight, we've seen all sorts of wildflowers and Orchids, birds, butterflies, bees, Damsel & Dragonflies. Thank you for setting the cottage up with comfy beds, flowers, milk , drinks, fluffy towels & lovely furniture, great shower and amazing bath!"

"2 of us in a family cottage (2 adults + 2 children), so loads of room for us and very comfortable. Shower & separate bath was a much appreciated luxury. Nice and quiet. In a very quiet village with good walks round the local school's (enormous) grounds, but pubs are a short drive away and the nearest town (Bury St Edmunds) is an easy 10 minute drive as well.Secure wi-fi available, which is always welcome these days, but unfortunately was a bit patchy for the last 2 days of our stay. This is the only (minor) downside we could even think of.Would definitely stay there if we are holidaying in the area again!"

"We were in the area for a family wedding. The house suited our needs for the weekend. Parts were very comfortable. We particularly liked the kitchen area that was large yet cosy for family gatherings. The beds were very comfortable & bathrooms were decorated well. Parts of the house smelt musty and were in need of a little TLC. The downstairs bathroom & utility were dated. As was the annexe room. The large storage area next to the annexe room would be very good if utilised as another bathroom. A long walk to the toilet in the middle of the night!"

"Some items that should have been there, according to the "blurb" were not; i.e.books and games and also map of the estate. Some kitchen items were not very clean. The garden was a strip of grass with a pub type bench on it in front of the lodge, so no privacy. When we were there the owner was moving to a new house on the estate close to the lodge, so there was some builders rubble around and a digger going back and forth past the lodge frontage. It was not clear where it was possible to walk on the estate as there was no information."
