"When we arrived at the premises S57587, it was blowing a gale and raining. However when we entered the premises there were electric storage heaters installed, but they we not switched on. The only other heating was an electric convector heater on the wall in the bedroom! Also, there was only a thin summer quilt on the double bed, and no additional bedding in the premises. When the owner arrived at 6:00PM, she stated that we could not use the storage heaters as they used too much electricity! Instead she offered a small oil filled electric radiator, and a winter quilt for the bed! We then found that there were no instructions for the bath shower, and the plug in the bathroom since did not hold the water in. As a result, we had to wash in the kitchen sink! The toilet seat was loose, and when you flushed the toilet it flushed twice by itself. There were no coat hangers in the wardrobe, so coats and shirts could only be hung on the back of the front door at the bottom of the stairs. The kitchen equipment was basic, with only essential utensils, the light over the cooker did not work, and was replaced by a battery light, but the batteries were dead! Need I say anymore! As a result of the cold accommodation, and the other points above, we have left the premises this morning. From the initial response by the owner I did not bother to raise these points with her."

"S42466 is beautiful, just beautiful. As someone who manages 50,000 sq ft I know about property and facilities management and the house and gardens are immaculate. The rooms are spacious and well furnished - practical and tastefully furnished. It is extremely clean throughout, nothing was out of place. The facilities for hosting a large event are perfect - even down to four sauceboats! The kitchen has an aga which, for those not used to it, can be intimidating. However, with a little forethought into what you intend to cook and a review of the cook books provided (and/ or prior research) means it does not need to be overly concerning. The grounds are extensive and vary between woodland and grass. Plenty of room for a game of cricket or rounders! The administration from booking through to arrival and beyond is a well oiled machine, with every question you could consider answered easily. I have no hesitation in scoring S42466 10/10. There was truly not one thing which was lacking and everything was extremely well prepared. My only tip - Get your booking secured as soon as you can!"

"lovely cottage and fabulous hosts, with everything we could need. Close to Ebbsfleet for a day trip to Brussels which was excellent, though I would recommend booking your tickets as far in advance as you can to get the best price, I paid £85 return for each of us, but have to say it was well worth it. To help getting around buy 24hr underground tickets when you get there as this lets you go all over the city. We would recommend getting the metro to Brosse and going to the Grand Place, include a visit to Hard Rock Café in the corner of the Place. Close to the A2 & M20 with so much to do in the area. Dover Castle is a definite recommend as are the war time tunnels, though be warned there is quite a bit of walking."

"Much enjoyed our week in this very well appointed and comfortable property with nice owners, located in a very quiet, attractive, rural spot well removed from the village and main roads, with excellent dog walks along a permissive bridleway which commences close by. With no livestock in the vicinity, dogs were able to trot along off lead. Rochester old town is very nice to visit, as are Whitstable, Herne Bay, Margate, and Canterbury. By far the best beach is Dymchurch on the South coast, lovely sand, views and blue sea, where the dogs had a good swim on the ample permitted area. A much appreciated welcome pack is provided, including white wine and fresh local eggs. In summary, a well recommended property."
