"Arrived Sunday PM. Keys left in door, no meet and greet, Knock on door later from a neighbour who thought we were burgulars. We brought frozen food for breakfast and xmas day, only to find no freezer compartment in the fridge, all defrosted by Tuesday morningKept awake most of Sunday and Monday night by the srceeching of metal on metal caused by the wind vein trying to go around .Being RSPB members we were not expecting to find a dead Sparrow Hawk on the garden outside the front door on Monday morning thaT HAD BEEN THERE FOR SOME TIME.The barn should be renamed Cobweb Barn we have never seen so many cobwebs in such a small space. The bar stools are what they are Bar Stools not Breakfast bar stools, they are to high and uncomfortable to sit on and take meals at the breakfast bar, same for the setees very low and difficult to get out of.Could not find any rubbish or re cycling bins on site.No path lighting available from the barn to the car parking area or any salt/ grit for the path.We left on Saturday morning due to the constant noise of the wind vein, Wednesday night was the only night we managed to get a good nights sleep, I was ready to leave on Wednesday because of the lack of sleep but my wife persueded me not toMonday morning"

"Good points: the cottage is spacious and the lounge comfortable. However, there were numerous bad points which spoiled our stay. The cottage is only superficially clean and well decorated; it is not difficult to notice dust and cobwebs, cracks and damp patches in walls and splashes of paint on woodwork and furniture. Some kitchen utensils were very dirty; some were broken or chipped. Toilet seat is chipped. Lampshades on bedside lamps have seen better days. Pillows in the bedroom are flat and uncomfortable. The wardrobe doubles up as storage space and you have to hang your clothes among hoover, cot, ironing board etc. A tiny shelf in the bathroom does not provide enough space for toiletries for two people. The owners are not very friendly or welcoming. A good measure of this was the content of the 'welcome tray': TWO each of tea bags, mini milk cartons and sachets of sugar. The meanest we have ever seen."

"This is a clean and comfortable cottage, with good modern equipment. The welcome pack, including a bottle of prosecco, was very good. On the other hand, the cottage is rather dark. There were no instructions for the central heating, for opening and closing roof lights, dealing with rubbish and recycling, or for local facilities such as doctors and dentists. All other cottages we have visited have provided a folder of such information. The ancillary equipment also left quite a lot to be desired. In particular, there wasn't enough crockery; and an English cottage without a teapot, a frying pan, or a washing-up bowl must be unique. These faults could easily be corrected, and what is a good cottage would then be excellent."

"We had a great time in orchard view, on arrival there was a welcome pack which was a lovely gesture, the cottage was very clean and we'll appointed also quite spacious. The only drawback was it being down a long ally which means if you have a lot of stuff with you its a long way to carry it but this also means it is quiet. Parking was not a problem and the people around where very pleasant and welcoming.Corbridge is a delightful place ,the cafes and resteraunts where exellent, the surrounding countryside is beautiful. Corbridge is one off the cleanest places we have ever stayed at and we would not think twice about staying at or chert view again."

"We found S13550 to be very clean and comfortable. As a responsible dog owner though I did find it very disappointing that the owners' dogs were allowed to foul in the garden (the owners' garden, which was overlooked by the cottage's kitchen and living area) and it was not cleaned up the whole week we were there. Another disappointing thing as far as I was concerned was the fact it is advertised as having a washing machine. I find that very convenient on holiday, however, it does not make it clear you have to ask the owners to use theirs! A good base however for touring the area."
