"Firstly, let me say that we enjoyed our stay at S23530. Although it's location is somewhat remote, it is very peaceful and convenient for getting to a number of visitor attractions - e.g. New Lanark, Grey Mare's Tail, Drumlanrig Castle. It is on the map as far as home deliveries are concerned and much of our week's food arrived shortly after we did.The Cottage is spacious with three good sized bedrooms, two showers (not over the bath), large loung/diner and kitchen. Pretty much all the facilities described on the web site are included. Our party comprised four adults, two children and a baby and we certainly didn't feel congested. The small welcome hamper was much appreciated. Whilst bad weather wasn't much of an issue, the grounds aren't ideal for children to play out in (other than a large lawn) because it is mostly laid with hardcore. A few potted plants outside would enhance the cottage's appearance.A few things that would have made the cottage more comfortable are; some brighter lighting, not so hot water (far too hot for young children), a small table/unit in the bathrooms. We would stay at S23530 again? I would say yes if Lanarkshire was a future holiday destination."

"The owners of the cottage were very nice and friendly people. What we missed however was some more information about the facilities and what you can do (without a car) in the surroundings, if you can walk or bike there. Around Wiston were not so many possibilities for walking and biking because there were only big roads. We discovered New Lanard, where we could go by bus, that was a very nice and beautiful place to walk and where we could do all the shoppings ( in Lanard), but we did not know it in advance. More information about were we can walk, do the shoppings, rent a bike, public transport would have been convenient. There was a busstop in Wiston but not a direct connection between Edinghburg and Wiston. We came by bus from Edingburgh, asked the busdriver to stop in Wiston (where he passed) but he didn't know were it was, missed Wiston and stopped 2 miles further. So we were dropped with all the lugage in the middle of nowhere. We could only get some information after we booked and payed and the owner also didn't know everything, because he has a car and is not used to go by bus or bike."

"We stayed at the Sweatpea Cottage for Christmas. It was the perfect place to get away from holiday stress and nonsense this time of year brings. It is such a comfortable place to relax and get away from everything. We were especially pleased that they allowed pets. We can imagine holidays without the stress but not our pet. It was nice having her with us. The cottage has everything you need to relax and feel at home - comfortable bed, fire place, stove, refrigerator, dishes, silverware, towels, television/cable, DVD player/DVD's, nice views of the garden, and the internet. Edinburgh is not too far. The town of Biggar is very close by and has some great places to eat. We loved our stay here. Will definitely try to come back if we are in the area. Highly recommended."

"We had a really lovely time here. Cathy and Julia were very welcoming and extremely helpful on every aspect of our stay. It is a beautiful location, and the chalet had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. We really enjoyed having a wood burner, which meant we had a lovely warm fire, and the owners gave us a good supply of kindling, lighters and logs. We will definitely come back again. The only reservation I have is in recommending this chalet to other people, for fear that it may be booked up next time we want to come back. Thank you Cathy and Julia for a lovely stay in a lovely place that we will definitely return to."

"Had a great stay at S23530. Cosy and warm on arrival. Approximately 4 miles from the M74 but quite remote, so may not be convient if you want to eat out every evening as restaurants were some distance. 3 bedrooms with large comfy beds . 2 bathrooms, a shower cubicle in each plus bath in main bathroom. 3 toilets. A really big kitchen , with a good range of equipment. A lovely lounge dinner with a log burner and a plentiful supply of logs. An issue with the heating towards the end of our stay and communication could have been better, and once fixed never quite regained the earlier warmth. Would be happy to stay again"
