"We absolutely loved our stay at Harrys Hut. Stayed with my 9 year old grandson for a week in August and it was perfect. Quaint, picturesque village of Brighstone where every other house seems to be thatched, and a mile or so to the beach. There are lots of wonderful beaches a short drive from Harrys Hut where my grandson could surf and bodyboard. Also good beaches for fossil hunting. Harrys Hut itself is a perfect base, new this year, it is fitted out to a high and tasteful standard, with lots of Next crockery and lovely sofas and bedding etc. We loved relaxing with the french doors open, sitting on the patio. Wifi, sky tv, nothing was lacking - really loved our holiday and we will be back. I cant recommend Harrys Hut highly enough - perfect base for our holiday."

"Worst cottage we have ever had- no welcome pack or king size bed as advertised single mattress - springs gone . Owners personal belongings left in cupboards and draws- toiletries/ wine / underwear / personal food etc. Central heating old and very noisy . Shower over bath slow and cold- the one attached to the bath - no pressure. Front door difficult to close- we used the back door throughout the stay . Mugs all stained - in fact the whole cottage needed a clean as there were cobwebs everywhere . Washer door faulty and dishes washer we didn’t use as information book as you to ‘ treat with respect’ as it was old ! Understand this property has not been rated - but definitely needs to visited - Not up to the standard of any cottage we have had via cottages.com"

"The location was excellent, beautiful views and scenery! The location is out the way of the local amenities, but the owner of the bungalow explained this to us beforehand, because I was vetted by him via telephone. So if you do not mind all of this, then that is fine! The approach private road is very bumpy and full of potholes, upon which the owner also explained to me prior to visiting! So please be careful driving there. The bungalow itself was not very clean, full of cobwebs, and was also very dusty! I was told there would be a cleaner visiting, prior to our visit! The carpets had been hovered. The owner also asked me if I would clean up everywhere before we left, ie get the hoover out! Cheek! No I did not!"

"Great accommodation and plenty of space for the size of let. S14342 is a fabulous property with a history and offers every facility you might need whilst taking a self catering break. Also, the gardens would have been fantastic to use for a barbecue/drinks had the weather been better for us. Local shops allow for picking up the odd item you may be in desperate need for, but you still have the major supermarkets available to you within an easy drive. Unfortunately, because of the weather we did not see Shanklin/Isle of Wight at its best, but i'm sure that with a bit of sunshine its a fantastic place to holiday. Highly recommended and will more than likely use again."

"It's in a great spot with good parking. It's fairly dated inside and we think there may have been fleas!!! We had flea bites and think this might be because it allows pets to stay. This is why I've given a 5 for cleanliness as otherwise it was clean but dated. The towels were old and hard too, it wouldn't cost a lot to replace them. The double bed in the small room was so hard and the bed in the larger double room could be larger. I realise I'm complaining, but it's really important to be able to get a good night's sleep. I think it's all a bit make do and mend, which is fine if that's reflected in the price but it was fairly expensive for the week."
