"We arrived and were pleased BUT parking turned out to be bad. This place is on a estate, and parking is a huge problem, vehicles park on the verges etc. Kids playing ball against nearby garage doors do not add to the peace. Also trains are noisy if you open a door or window. It could have been cleaner in the lounge - dust under t.v. unit and the mirror was very dusty. kitchen window was very smeared when sun on it. Not possible to see t.v. when sun is in the lounge as it is badly positioned. A net curtain would be o.k. but we had to pull the curtains to see t.v The grass in rear garden had not been cut and was above my ankles. The beds we found very hard and duvets far too hot, but I accept that as a matter of taste. Shower worked well but soaked the window sill and glass partition could be longer to keep the area dry. Lighting in kitchen near microwave is very bad. You have your back to the lights, an under cupboard light would work well there. The kitchen bin broke on first use and I felt it was not up to the job. A big shame because Battle and the area is really beautiful."

"A long weekend stay with my mother and sister. The owners were excellent and provided a very personal service something I have never experienced before. They emailed me before the holiday were very welcoming and provided lots of local information suitable to my circumstances. Colin was at the property on arrival and facilitated the parking of two vehicles and gave instructions for direct access to train station and beach. S78515 is exceptional, clean and beautifully decorated with everything that was needed for a very comfortable stay. The owners left a lovely welcome basket of yummy things and a welcome card.We didnt need to ring them as the weekend went very well with no hiccups. I was left in no doubt had they been any issues then they would have been there quickly to resolve them. My daughter is at uni in Kent and I would always consider this a bit of a bolt hole for my family. I have no doubt that if you were just holidaying it would be a great base for a family of 4. Sad to have left little ted, S78515 bear snuggled up on the bed in the twin room. Go and visit him say hello from me."

"We had the best long weekend at the barn. The owners Lynda and Richard are lovely, the live next door but leave you to it apart from a lovely welcome. Lynda made us a gorgeous Victoria sponge and some apple juice, there was also tea, coffee and milk provided. The barn has everything you need. Comfy and cute living accommodation and bed plus a lovely shower with shampoos etc available to use. The garden is lovely and we were allowed to use the orchard with our dog Archie, he loved it. We bought some pottery before we left from Sally, the owner’s daughter who uses the other part of the barn to work...lovely stuff! The barn is just across the road from the rose and crown...a lovely little pub with fab food, welcoming staff and it’s dog friendly too. We would also recommend The Wheel for Sunday lunch, you won’t regret it!"

"We had a very pleasant time at "S78515" in weeks 35 & 36. Colin was extremely helpful and friendly. In fact so many of the local people were very friendly and chatty that we think they must put something special in the water in Thanet.A good plus point was that there are two bathrooms plus a downstairs toilet.A suggestion from our side would be to provide a bit more cutlery, but this wasn't a major issue. The reason we have given an 8 for Location is nothing to do with the accommodation as such, it is just that there is a bit of a traffic bottleneck just before the church driving out of St Peter's. Maybe the council should install a traffic light to regulate this better?Local amenities are good. We can recommend Walmer, Deal, Sandwich, Dover Castle and Canterbury in particular. All in all, a very nice holiday."

"The cottage was not really a problem the garden was very small and the gate not very secure which concerned us as we had two small dogs next to a main road . This would be a real worry for familes with small children. Our main problem was the demolition site 2 doors away working from 7.30am till 5pm lots of noise and dust even inside with doors shut it still vibrated really bad it was not possible to sit in the garden with this constant noise . We belive we should have been informed of this before our holiday to give us then the choice if we wanted to proceed this work began Jan 2018 and looks to be continuing for a long time yet. Unfair not to be told!"
