"the house was lovely. Plenty of room for us, five adults, five children (ages 5 to 16) and a large dog.En-suites to every bedroom (6), plus a shower on the ground floor, and a hosepipe in the garden for the dog. Masses of room outside for all to play or relax. Although the garden was NOT secure for a dog. The house was comfortable, beds were good, all the showers worked, we did have to ask for patio door to be unlocked and for bulbs to be changed in one of the showers, and one of the windows would not close, another seemed to be "bent" in its frame. On the gas hob two out of the five rings would not work, and the main oven packed up altogether. they did let us use the oven in one of the other cottages that was not let out, but that was a pain trying to cater for ten in a very small oven, and having to walk it across the way. But we coped and had fun! There was very limited utensils in the kitchen, no mixing bowls, no dishes for the oven and I had to wash ALL the pans before I could use them. Built in bbq, but no utensils for that either. They did not supply toilet rolls, only a small amount in each of the toilets! For the amount we paid there really should have been a few spare, no welcome pack either. There was nothing for children to do, no games in the house, just a pack of cards and a couple of old books. Luckily we took our own. The hotel was quite a walk down a very steep hill, (OK going down) we took ourselves down every night to use the pool, which was clean, but could do with updating, broken tiles need to be fixed. We didn't eat in their restaurant, but the menu looked OK. Apart from that Hotel their was nothing else in the vicinity, just a small local shop. The beach was lovely for us with lots of driftwood and small shells and rock pools, not for small children, as it is quite "dirty sand" . Would I go back? Yes, because I like the quiet and peace, and I know to take EVERYTHING I might need. No, if I wanted to be near a nice beach. Value for money?, I think it is overpriced. But it was quite a late booking, and there were very few places available for a big party plus dog."

"This has the potential to be a really nice place for large groups to stay as all bedrooms are ensuite. unfortunately while we were there the drains were smelly and gurgling, one hot bath tap in the attic bedroom wouldn’t work until it was manually pulled forcibly outwards. The cooker has all the temperatures rubbed off and a knob is missing. The ailing dishwasher failed by Thursday and despite phone calls ( no phone signal didn’t help) and a visit to the hotel on day 2 with a list the septic tank wasn’t emptied until Friday- the day before we went home. The cottage is spacious and nicely furnished and the Internet is ok, there is no phone signal at all but the owners have provided a payphone. There isn’t much to do in Ferryside but lots of nicer places nearby. Access to the beach is over the railway line which is The main line to Carmarthen. The tide was out most mornings so the beach wasn’t visible until the afternoon. There is now a pedestrian ferry to Llansteffan beach opposite timetables are shown at the Ferryside station, it doesn’t run every day There is an indoor pool in the Three Rivers hotel available for cottage guests but it’s also used by folk on the caravan park next door. Food in the hotel was ok we went to the Sunday carvery which was crowded but had lots of choices of meats and an enormous choice of vegetables. If you like you like your meat well done you’ll love it"

"Lovely house and location - Welcome pack appreciated - there were 9 of us - 3 families staying here and we had a wonderful holiday - But we felt that the house needed a good clean in certain areas - kitchen utensils were in a poor and some unclean condition - steps and decking down to veranda were unsafe and rotten in places (foot went through wooden decking) we had to stop children from playing there which was a shame because this area would have been great to relax in. The weeds - brambles and nettles were also overgrown onto the decking - The drain in the wet room in the annex had to be unblocked as it was full of hair and water would not drain away - Advertised as secure gardens with electric gates (electric gates would not operate) hence children were not allowed to play on the front lawn unless supervised - Toilet to second bedroom sticks on flushing causing it to leak - both the lamps in children's bedroom didn't work had to change them from master bedroom - This might seem a lot to complain about but we did speak to the owner about the above things which he thanked us for bringing it to his attention - we could not rate this as 5 star except for the price but once again these points mentioned did mot stop us having a lovely family holiday enjoyed by all."

"We have just returned from a great holiday in this cottage. Aberaeron is a picture postcard village with a pretty harbour and lots of good shops and restaurants. The location of the cottage is perfect, as it takes only 1-2 minutes to walk from the cottage to the harbour or the village centre. The house is very spacious and well equipped and we would definitely recommend this as a great cottage to stay in. There are a few design features that are a bit odd, such as the huge fireplace that dominates the living room, the lack of privacy glass in all the bathrooms (hence the use of curtains or blinds), and very little clothes storage in the ground floor bedroom. We also found that the floors of the cottage were not very clean, the barbecue and the oven were dirty too. This is a shame as the rest of the kitchen itself was very clean and also very well equipped, with a vast array of cooking equipment. The rest of the house however, including all the bathrooms was very clean. The garden to the house is quite spacious and has a great covered area at the bottom with a table and chairs. Overall however, our experience was very positive and we very much enjoyed our week. We would definitely recommend this holiday cottage."

"We had an amazing stay at this house with the family. We had booked this as a surprise for the family and they had no idea where they were staying so it was quite a shock for them to arrive at this wonderful house. Electric gates on entry and a massive driveway. The views are fabulous. They are even better on the top level of the house and the sea is much closer than you think. The house is much bigger than we had anticipated.Every room is finished to a very high standard and well equipped with everything we needed for the weekend. The log cabin is a nice extra too although we didn't use it as it was just too cold. The house had lovely underfloor heating throughout and there was plenty of clean towels provided.Beds were so comfortable with their own ensuite bathrom. S60269 was also spotlessly clean with lovely thick carpets in every room upstairs. A lovely touch especially during the colder months. we would definitely recommend this house to anyone, Great for family get togethers or group stays. Immaculately presented and we would love to return in the summer. Thankyou Tony for letting us feel like the rich and famous in your Beautiful home. We look forward to coming back very soon.Hayley & Family"
