"This was our 3rd visit to this lovely old farmhouse, which we have previously enjoyed staying at with our family. However on this occasion we felt that nothing had been improved upon since our last stay 5 years previous, with regards to repair and updating the property. We have felt very much at home here but now feel that things could have been better. The broken chair in kitchen, broken window taped up in bedroom, pool cues in games room broken, pool balls missing, table tennis bats in bad condition, dishwasher not working properly, grubby furniture in lounge & large bedroom, DVD on blink and no locks on bathrooms just a few things to mention, all of which were in need or repair/replacement on our last visit. Uncomfortable sofa bed in downstairs bedroom, & both showers needed attention. Also we reported mice at the property which were seen on a regular daily basis, which is unacceptable. Would also suggest highlighting the steps in the property as these are dangerous for elderly & also young children. We felt this was such a shame as we have loved staying here on previous occasions and we held it in regard as a special place for our family visits. With TLC & refurbishment this property could be a wonderful retreat for family holidays, but feel that now the time has come for some very much updating and improvement."

"from the moment you open the car door you can smell cow manure. There is a dairy with cows next door, and I mean exactly opposite the wall. You can’t even leave the kitchen window open. The garden smells too and overlooks part of the working dairy. There is a little lane bu the side of the house which sees large lorries thundering past once every couple of hours. Cob webs galore in the kitchen and bathrooms. This place needs a really good clean and the dishwasher needs a really good service as it doesn’t clean the crockery at all. Sorry, but we ended up giving this place back cleaner than it was found in. Otherwise a quaint but very tired and outdated property."

"We have a lovely weekend meeting up with friends and family. The house is beautiful! There was some maintenance work being done when we were there but once this is completed I imagine the house will be perfect. We were greeted by Amy who was lovely, very accommodating and told us everything we needed to know. The location of the house is in a isolated position -which was great for us as we enjoyed the walks in the immediate countryside however it is a short drive to the local village and the nearest shop which could be problematic. Overall, we all had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at S16053."

"A family gathering for my Father-in-Law's 75th birthday with 6 adults and 4 kids all under 6. We had a very enjoyable time. The beds were extremely comfortable, the bathrooms very modern, and lovely welcome pack on arrival. Room outside for our energetic kids to run themselves into the ground. The kitchen was big enough to cook on mass and the dining room was lovely and big when we did a big lunch for all 10 of us so we could all sit together and not be at all cramped. We would certainly recommend this place and will most likely book again for another group get together."

"Lovely house in its day. Needs a lot of updating now. Bedrooms and bathrooms were excellent though. Good place for large groups but getting shopping meant a good 15minute drive. Local pubs not that good. We ate in most of the time. Cooker door didn’t close properly so cooking times had to be watched. All in all though we had a lovely week at the house. Lovely local walks and scenery. Grandchildren were happy playing in garden. The only reason we wouldn’t stay again is it’s remoteness."
