"The house was great value for money and all that we wanted. The hot tub, although a little old, was clean, functional and perfect for the end of the day. The gas barbecue was useful but needs some serious TLC (controls stiff and parts rusting) plus guessing the previous guests hadn't cleaned it nor the owners as we spent 20 mins removing a lot of grime from it. Minor issue though and in no way a dent in the overall holiday (more something for the owners to take on board). The pool table badly needs a new cloth, fine for a quick knock around though. There was no Hi-fi. Wasn't an issue for us as we had a portable building site style radio but definitely something that could bother other guests. The house was clean bar some very minor things (under sofas.... not that we make a habit of checking these places but when your kids are dropping toys under there you can't help it). The kitchen had plenty of utensils etc and was very good and the extra fridge in utility room was welcome. Dining room excellent for large groups eating together. Bedrooms all clean and given the numbers it accomdates, pretty spacious. Garden really well maintained and gets sun most of the day, plus not overlooked which is always a plus. Bathrooms - 3 all with showers) all clean and conveniently positioned.Ultimately holidays are what you make them, we had a wail of a time and Blackmoor Farm played a MASSIVE part in that. So thanks to Blackmoor Farm and the friendly owners for that. Would go back as it is, would be even better were the minor gripes rectified. Some suggestions to owners:Games room could do with a little TLC, lick of paint and new ceiling would go a looooong way.New cloth on pool table. Some under cover area between back door and hot tub and maybe over the hot tub too would be amazing. (Reckon we could do that for you for, I don't know, a weeks free accommodation ;) - see we must've liked it, trying to get back there already).New BBQ (and a cover to keep it in better nick).Hi-fi."

"We have a good time at S21919; the location was perfect and plenty of room at the house for our large group of 3 familys. The farmhouse has a nice hot tub plus a games room which we all enjoyed; the host also let our little ones have a pony ride and they were over the moon! However, we all felt that the Farmhouse was in need of updating to be somewhere we would consider visiting again - the fridge in the kitchen didn't seal so we weren't confident to use it for food, the showers are very low flow and water temperature was temperamental. 2 lights (bedroom ceiling & games room) didn't work and although they were fixed quickly it is something that we think should have been noticed as part of checks before a new the guests arrive. The decor was very basic and although the towel/bedding etc were clean the cottage generally lacked some attention to detail such as having dusty sills & previous guests hair bobbles/dust inside drawers & cupboards. This could be a fantastic rental if given just a little more love!"

"Just back from a lovely weekend at this cottage. The location was beautiful, just a couple of pubs/restaurants, little shops and a pebble beach a minutes walk down the road so very quiet and relaxed. We could see the sea from the cottage which was nice. First impression of the cottage was ‘wow’. Most of it is beautifully decorated, although you can see the owners are working their way around improving rooms as the kitchen and bathrooms were a little dated. On closer inspection there were a few broken drawers/tiles here and there and mould in the downstairs bathroom but nothing that would put us off coming again. We’re already thinking of booking for next year as the local area had so much to explore. Tenby in particular was very pretty. I would have liked to give 10/10 but we had a couple of issues with cleanliness in some areas and as I say some of it was a little tired but I’m sure it will all be improved by our next visit."

"We felt the cottage needed updating, wall paper was peeling off some of the walls. Settees were uncomfortable as they sank in the middle and we fell to the side! The electric cooker wasn't working fully as there was a problem with the thermostat so took a long time to cook! There was cobwebs in kitchen cupboards and corners of the house, food residue also in cupboards. Fridge in utility room wasn't very cold and didn't manage to get it any colder! Terrible constant clicking noise from the timer for the central heating and water heater which we could hear from the bedroom with the 2 single beds in and struggled to sleep! Jacuzzi was lovely as was the large garden, nice to be able to walk across the yard to play table tennis and for our boys to be able to have a free pony ride. Lots of days out and attractions within a 20 minute drive. We still managed to enjoy a lovely family holiday."

"We were due to stay at this property for five days over the Christmas period but when we arrived we found that the heating system was inadequate and it was very cold upstairs in the bedrooms. Also, two of the bedrooms smelt of urine. The cooking facilities for a place that size was also inadequate and we couldn't get the oven to reach the correct temperature for cooking on Christmas Eve, so we made the decision to leave the property on Christmas morning. We were very reluctant to do this but felt we had no option in the circumstances.Welcome Cottages were very sympathetic with our concerns and are very kindly giving us a refund. The owner of the house denied that there was anything wrong with the property but I leave it up to you to decide. Would we have left on Christmas Morning and ruin our holiday if the place was suitable?"
