"the house was lovely. Plenty of room for us, five adults, five children (ages 5 to 16) and a large dog.En-suites to every bedroom (6), plus a shower on the ground floor, and a hosepipe in the garden for the dog. Masses of room outside for all to play or relax. Although the garden was NOT secure for a dog. The house was comfortable, beds were good, all the showers worked, we did have to ask for patio door to be unlocked and for bulbs to be changed in one of the showers, and one of the windows would not close, another seemed to be "bent" in its frame. On the gas hob two out of the five rings would not work, and the main oven packed up altogether. they did let us use the oven in one of the other cottages that was not let out, but that was a pain trying to cater for ten in a very small oven, and having to walk it across the way. But we coped and had fun! There was very limited utensils in the kitchen, no mixing bowls, no dishes for the oven and I had to wash ALL the pans before I could use them. Built in bbq, but no utensils for that either. They did not supply toilet rolls, only a small amount in each of the toilets! For the amount we paid there really should have been a few spare, no welcome pack either. There was nothing for children to do, no games in the house, just a pack of cards and a couple of old books. Luckily we took our own. The hotel was quite a walk down a very steep hill, (OK going down) we took ourselves down every night to use the pool, which was clean, but could do with updating, broken tiles need to be fixed. We didn't eat in their restaurant, but the menu looked OK. Apart from that Hotel their was nothing else in the vicinity, just a small local shop. The beach was lovely for us with lots of driftwood and small shells and rock pools, not for small children, as it is quite "dirty sand" . Would I go back? Yes, because I like the quiet and peace, and I know to take EVERYTHING I might need. No, if I wanted to be near a nice beach. Value for money?, I think it is overpriced. But it was quite a late booking, and there were very few places available for a big party plus dog."

"This has the potential to be a really nice place for large groups to stay as all bedrooms are ensuite. unfortunately while we were there the drains were smelly and gurgling, one hot bath tap in the attic bedroom wouldn’t work until it was manually pulled forcibly outwards. The cooker has all the temperatures rubbed off and a knob is missing. The ailing dishwasher failed by Thursday and despite phone calls ( no phone signal didn’t help) and a visit to the hotel on day 2 with a list the septic tank wasn’t emptied until Friday- the day before we went home. The cottage is spacious and nicely furnished and the Internet is ok, there is no phone signal at all but the owners have provided a payphone. There isn’t much to do in Ferryside but lots of nicer places nearby. Access to the beach is over the railway line which is The main line to Carmarthen. The tide was out most mornings so the beach wasn’t visible until the afternoon. There is now a pedestrian ferry to Llansteffan beach opposite timetables are shown at the Ferryside station, it doesn’t run every day There is an indoor pool in the Three Rivers hotel available for cottage guests but it’s also used by folk on the caravan park next door. Food in the hotel was ok we went to the Sunday carvery which was crowded but had lots of choices of meats and an enormous choice of vegetables. If you like you like your meat well done you’ll love it"

"A beautiful manor with fantastic views. We had the privilege to be the first group to stay here. On arrival Carol, the friendly owner, showed us around + there was a surprise around every corner. Everything was beautifully clean. The lounges were tastefully + newly decorated. The kitchen is spacious + well equipped. The front bedrooms are spacious while the back bedrooms are smaller but adequate. It was an asset to have eight out of the nine bedrooms with en suite. The family bathroom is beautifully furnished. The large patio provided a place to eat, relax + enjoy the stunning view. The games room(chalet) situated in the back garden was well used by all. Any problems were quickly sorted by Stan the caretaker, contacted by phone or text when there was a signal which was usually in Pendine itself. It was a wonderful place for 10 adults (aged between 32+90 )+ 1 toddler to celebrate a very special 90th birthday . So glad we chose to celebrate it at S80475."

"This large holiday house is rurally located and was perfect for our family group of explorers. Lovely walks all around the local area and well placed for trips further afield. The house had been cleaned and prepared for our arrival but is in need of a deep clean and some basic maintenance. The rooms were all comfortable, with lots of living space for group games and quiet corners. The conservatory leaks when it rains and the drains at the top of the house smelled terribly after the rain. We were unfitness in advance that the Internet connection is not able to handle groups. This was fine for escapism but those who wanted to be more connected found that they spent much of their time at the local hotel accessing WiFi. We had a wonderful holiday here and it was great to be able to come back after long days out to a communal meal round the large table that easily accommodated the 13 of us."

"Overall, an excellent holiday for 9 old school friends from various places, including France and Ireland. We have been holidaying together for the last 15 years and always need large houses as we all want single rooms. I would, therefore, like to share a few suggestions which may help the owners in the future as I understand it is a new venture. The kitchen would have benefitted from 2 sinks and although it was well equipped for most things there was a need for more than one small cafetiere and not enough serving dishes and large plates. The plumbing was also a problem as the showers which were not electric would not work properly. The caretaker, Stan, was very helpful and keen to sort out every problem but the plumbing needed serious work. The weather was particularly bad when we there and there were several leaks in the house which Stan tried to deal with."
