"Lodge itself is lovely and well appointed. The location however is something that isn't great, no signage to show where lodges were, the road that should have a 5mph speed limit was not adhered to by one farm vehicle or any vehicle visiting doggy day care and you can't move about the farm due to health and safety restrictions. If you have little ones be careful getting in and out of the car as it's open to the busy road, and main bedroom looks onto the cattery. Now to the good bit inside very new and modern, lovely kitchen appliances but no washing up liquid or things to wash up with. If a group are staying best you know each other really well as bathroom nearly in living room. Outside a lovely decked area with table and chairs and a wooded garden but not totally safe for little dogs due to fence as they can escape. With all the land on the farm if they relocated it it would be more private and quieter."

"Enjoyed our stay and the children liked the upside down house. However, we had problem with no cold water on the first night, which was resolved and possibly because of power cut at the bore hole. The drive was steeper than advertised/expected, especially the final bit. We knew the centre section was unsurfaced but it had some very deep ruts in it. There were also 2 gates to open & shut. This needs to be more clearly advertised. It was a long way from the upstairs bedroom to the bathrooms and could have done with a toilet on first floor (in area of utility room??) as bad on the knees for some. The property was roomy, well equipped and the key holder very helpful. Day we could have sat outside it rained but that wasn't the cottage's fault!! The view was beautiful and The Pendle Inn in Barley good for evening meal."

"The cottage itself is wonderful, and the location is breathtaking. Plus a lovely pub down the road. Unfortunately, as per earlier reviews, the hot water is a real problem. We were left on Christmas Day with 4 hours of no hot water, and had numerous issues on various days for the week we were there. There some other minor things that also need rectifying. The kitchen windows didn't open, the 4 slice toaster is broken on one side which is not a major thing unless you have 10 people in the cottage as we did, and the lamp on the master bedroom didn't work. All things we fed back to the agency who rented the cottage to us. The cottage is lovely but we left a day earlier than our booking - the hot water needs to be sorted out and as such I wouldn't revisit until that was fixed."

"Fantastic property. Really couldn't fault it.Extremely well equipped and fitted out - everything you could need. Very comfortable bed. Lovely bathroom. Very clean and tidy. Very fast WiFi, and TV system (Sky Q), had just been updated.Though the outside area is not huge, it is very comfortable to sit outside, and enjoy the peace and quiet of the adjoining countryside / fields (with a few very well behaved horses....)A 10 minute walk into local village, where there are a couple of pubs (only tested one of the pubs, and it was very good).A short drive to some very pleasant villages / attractions - Ripon, Ripley, Masham, Harrogate, York. Fountains Abbey & Studley Water Gardens a real treat.I hope to return, as it was a great few days at the property."

"We had a fantastic time during our week at S77807. The place is totally isolated pitched between 2 fields with lovely views of both. Inside you had all that was needed comfort and amenity wise. Lovely bed, super bathroom and shower with nice small kitchen tagged onto the living space. Plenty of room for 2. Good parking space although be careful when venturing out as your view is obscured. Around and about are 2 pubs and the town of Ripon less than 5 miles away. There is a local Morrisons and garage 3 miles away. We went out everyday for walks or visits and throughly enjoyed the week. Fountains Abby is a must, the city of York also. Great stay, great location, great place. Would love to return someday."
