What our customers are saying about our Holiday Cottages In Shepway District To Rent.

"Pretty and well equipped cottage. It was a cold weekend when we first arrived (snow!), and we enjoyed the being able to light the log-burner in the sitting room. It is in a good position in Hythe - an easy walk to both the beach and the town. And there is plenty to do in the surrounding area, though we were a little out of season - NT & English Heritage properties, walks with the dog, welcoming pubs and at the weekend a ride on the miniature steam railway (dogs go free). The railway opens all week just after we left - it goes to Dungeness, a strange and bleak landscape that rather appealed to us, in spite of the biting wind on the day we went. Enjoyed our stay!"

"We had an amazing stay at this property. The views were spectacular, you could not get any closer to the beach unless you camped on it, and the local amenities were on our doorstep. From lovely walks, to dog friendly pubs and a quaint High Street, Hythe has it all! Griggs, the fish monger that cooks its catch, is a must - you will find it at the end of the promenade on the beach. Also, The Spitfire Cafe, which just on the way out of Hythe - towards Dymchurch, is a must for WW2 enthusiasts. Set in a mess tent, with music from the 40s and surrounded by memorabilia from the war years, Simon cooks a wicked breakfast. We will definitely be back."

"It was a super well equipped and cozy cottage that is lovely and quiet, the perfect place for a quiet getaway. The pub over the bridge and across the road served wonderful food and, I thought, good value. The views across the fields up to the castle were magnificent. Although it would be handy to be able to walk to the shops I loved that there was nothing close by, except the pub! The torch to get there was very helpful. If you want somewhere to stay in beautiful surroundings, quiet but within 30 minutes of castles and 5 of a beach then this is the place to be."

"Following our stay at S10411 in Hythe last week, I must let you know how delightful it was. The property is magnificent, full of character and charm and in such a stunning location. The many individual and personal touches were very welcome and added to the ambiance. It proved to be the perfect setting for a family get together and was a truly happy week. Oh, to move in!!!!This was my first booking through Freedom Holidays as I have previously always had family connections in my home county of Kent. I am very appreciative of your whole service from start to finish."

"One of the best holiday accommodations we have ever had. Extremely comfortable. A fraction off the beaten track but it was well worth the journey. The bed was more comfortable than ours at home. Near access to the Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch railway was our main reason for choosing the area. But to be quite honest I chose 'Treacle Den' because of its name. Very grateful to Natalie ... but we didn't actually need to bother her all week, everything was most satisfactory.Clive & Sally"
