"It was a bungalow with an extension, was in a very very busy village. We thought village as advertised was going to be quiet. However, it was on a very very busy street, with buses & lorries & all other traffic passing, and because there was parking both sides of the street it was made worse with vehicles having to wait to take their turn to pass. Also a school & nursery quite nearby. Not quite the walking distance we envisaged as the advert seemed to imply to the beach. The bungalow itself was comfy enough, but badly put together in parts. Doors & windows did not fit properly. Only one central low positioned light in the kitchen made it very dark. Hence comments from other visitors. Thank god there was one over the cooking range. Not much info into which bin the rubbish went, as we like to recycle, again same comments from other visitors. And the garden could have done with quite a good tidy up, again same comments from others However, it did not spoil our time in Wales, (my first), which I thought was beautiful & stunning."

"My wife and I had a lovely holiday in Pembrey/Burry Port where we stayed at Swn-Y-Mor cottage with our two small dogs. If it's a peaceful holiday you want, then this is an ideal place to go. The cottage is tastefully decorated, beautifully furnished and immaculately clean. It's has a large enclosed rear garden which our dogs really loved and we felt relaxed knowing that they couldn't escape. Depending on your fitness, the harbour at Burry Port is within walking distance (just under a mile) or there is adequate parking at the harbour if you want to use your car. Burry Port beach is an expanse of golden sand with no restriction for your dogs. Near the cottage you can walk along the old railway line on a beautiful flat tarmac surface, either to Pembery Country Park or Burry Port. Within walking distance of the cottage is Pembery Country Inn where your dogs will be made welcome and where you can enjoy excellent food at a competitive price. Subject to availability we hope to return later in the year."

"Lovely house, nice and spacious-photos don't really do it justice! We had 6 adults, 2 children, a baby and a dog, and there was plenty of room inside and out for all of us. Lovely big table so everyone could more than comfortably eat together, well stocked kitchen...though could really benefit from a dishwasher, there is plenty of space for one, washing up was a bit of a chore on holiday!! Good base for getting out and about to lots of different places, very good welcome book with excellent instructions and lots of leaflets for days out. Would definitely recommend eating at the Talardd Inn (5 mins away by car), excellent food. Nice to have a welcome pack too with tea, coffee, fresh flowers and lovely Welsh cakes (could do with a pint of milk in the fridge too!!) House very clean and comfortable, lovely bed linen and towels. We got there while the caretaker was there and he was very polite and friendly and let us in. Would definitely come back!"

"Lovely house with everything you need in it and more. As we had a very adventurous 2 year old Kay had supplied a stair gate which was very useful. Both children loved their Disney duvet covers which Kay had put on just for them. House is on 3 levels which is good as it doesn't feel like you are always on top of each other. We loved going to the beach which is just behind the house and enjoyed watching the boats in the harbour which is in front of the house and round the side. We had fantastic weather which helped as we spent most of our time on the beach or at Pembrey park- riding, going on the small train. If it had been raining I'm not sure where we would have gone. Burry Port is a very friendly place. We loved both house and location."

"loved here. so much on the doorstep to see and do. the cottage is amazing... as a wheelchair user its not easy finding somewhere to go on holiday that suits your needs. ramp to access cottage, perfect. space inside cottage perfect. wet room was big enough to get my wheelchair in as well as the bedroom being big as well. I took my own toilet raiser and suction handle to help me on and off the loo. no criticism its just low loos are no good for me. lynette provided a shower chair. I couldn't ask for more. lynette is a lovely lady, very friendly, nothing was too much trouble, I would have no problem recommending elm cottage to anyone wether a couple or family of 6. scenery is amazing. thankyou for a lovely place to stay."
