"It's a good base from which to explore West Sussex. .We were made welcome by the hosts with special little extras such as cake and flowers for our arrival, which was a lovely surprise. We would definitely recommend staying here.Helpful, friendly owners. Suited our needs extremely well. This is a great spot to stay at. Close to many attractions, public transport is readily available if needed. All of the things that you need to self cater are present. There is a lovely outdoor space to enjoy. The apartment is very comfortable and spotlessly clean. The family who own the property were very helpful and kind. I can't think of anything that I didn't like about this property.A lovely holiday home, clean and well equipped. Kitchen small but has everything you need. Bathroom a bit of a squeeze if you are a well built 6'3" chap. The owners are lovely, very friendly and informative, without being intrusive. The property is well placed for visits to places of interest, and it is a pleasant 10 minute stroll to the beach and 5 minutes to local shops. I have already recommended this property to family and friends. We spent 3 nights in the annexe in February this year and found it to be very comfortable and convenienent. it was ex tremely well furnished and seemed to have everything one needed for a happy stay. The owner was charmong and had provided several useful items in the little kitchen area for immediate use such as coffee, tea, milk ,bread, and even asome home made cake in a tin.We would like to return and stay longer especially as they hope to enlarge the rear part to allow access to the garden. There is indeed some noise from the road, but this did not bother us, and we found the frequent bus services which pass ,to be very useful."

"Not at all what we expected from a 4 star rated cottage . The cottage was grubby !In fact we had to clean the dust from the bathroom radiators/towel rails before we were able to use them. The washing machine dispenser drawer was in a disgusting state in that it was black with mildew and on removing it to wash it the mildew was even worse underneath .The furniture overall was old and shoddy especially in the bedrooms where the wardrobes were so shallow that a normal size coat hanger does not fit in, making it impossible to hang up our clothes !!The equipment in the kitchen left much to be desired and much of it was faulty e.g. even the scissors had a broken handle. The fridge was faulty in that no matter how low we turned it, the food was on the point of freezing. It should be made clear that although there IS shared use of a freezer it is,in fact, in the owners garage which is a good 300 yards down a slope to access. Not helpful for people such as us who all have walking /breathing difficulties!Onto the TV - be aware that this is only a very small 24 inch screen. Certainly not big enough for the size of the room .The roll top bath is very nice but for people with mobility issues is difficult to get in or out of. Some grab rails would make a very useful addition. On a positive note the sofa and chairs in the lounge area was very nice and comfortable to sit on.All in all this cottage needs a complete refurbishment because it could be lovely. All in all we would rate this at no more than 3 star rating."

"Overall, the cottage was comfortable, but there was no welcome from the owners, whom we never met. Some of the crockery, pots & pans were dirty, & the response to our text notifying the owners was "We'll report it to our contract cleaners". Broken standard lamp (earth pin missing from plug, but lying on top of TV unit) left in situ; when sent text asking for replacement, 2 lamps were left! While comfortable, the covers on the sofa & chairs were unclean, with food remnants on the skirt areas. Tourist information was in some cases several years out of date, and there was no need to provide the guests with several copies of the instructions clearly marked as being for the contract cleaners. The overall impression was of a business indifferent to its individual clients, economizing on provisions to the point of meanness (One toilet roll for a Sleeps 4 property for a week is exceptionally penny-pinching, even when calling it a Get-you-in pack) ."

"This was the most unique house we have ever stayed in - an absolute delight. We spent last Easter there, giving it 10 out of 10 and no doubt we would have booked it again. However, owing to the fact that half way through our stay the property was sold and the purchasers paid us a rather threatening late night visit, demanding we handed over keys and for us to vacate the property there and then as we were now in fact trespassing, resulting in us being forced to call the police out as we were concerned for the safety of our 5 year old grandchild asleep upstairs, I feel I am unable to give this holiday any sort of positive rating. We left as soon as we could the following morning having been told a locksmith would be arriving to change the lock, breaking down the door if necessary. As far as we understand, this listed property is to be split into two and re-sold, so doubt it will be available to rent again."

"well flat was nice location and nice overhaul but when we got in the flat hadn't been cleaned properly dust under bed and around skirting boards bin still had remains of old dried food and was very bad we ended up not using bin as it smelt and the mop was dirty as used it to wash floor but ended up washing floor on our knees one of the windows in living room was stuffed with towels to stop the water coming in and the stair lights were not working so very dangerous also as you walked inside main front door downstairs there were leaves and old mail and hadn't been cleaned for ages so dust everywhere I did e mail the owner she in turn got in touch with flat management who did repair lights on stairs but nothing else which was shame as we did enjoy our stay there and paid good money but felt it could have been better .at no time was I offered a part refund for the trouble we had ."
