"We stayed with our 2 young children for the week and overall had a lovely time. A travel cot and high chair were provided at our request which was very helpful. We were close to several lovely beaches and enjoyed a couple evening swims in the pool. When we saw the owners they were always friendly and helpful. We ate at the club house one evening and the food was lovely and staff very helpful and accommodating. We enjoyed our week but there were just a few small things that could improve the accommodation ; firstly there is no wifi in the house, although this was available in the club house, the club house had limited opening hours (evenings) so coming down was restricted by our children being in bed (no mobile phone signal either). The swimming pool is available by request but the first morning when we had asked to swim it wasn't opened for us, which was probably just a misunderstanding, but we couldnt phone to remind them due to no signal (so we had a very disappointed child!) Just a few small things that if improved would make it just that little bit better. We had a lovely week though and are glad we stayed here."

"Great area for exploring the sandy beaches of SW Wales. The staff at the hotel (who run the cottage) are very friendly. The cottage advert left us assuming the swimming pool was at the cottages - it isn't - it's over half a mile away down a lane I thought was unsafe to walk along due to it being so narrow and having no footpath. Once there the pool is lovely. In today's connected world I would have expected wifi and mobile connectivity as a must have, especially considering the overall price of the rental. A minor issue was the crockery and cutlery - looks like mismatched leftovers from the hotel. Again with the price being paid, I would have expected a nice matching set for the number of guests. There was a note left on the window sill telling us about the welcome nibble and tipple, nice touch except there was no tipple, only a pack of welshcakes. What could have been a nice touch backfired. The settees has seen better days and ought to b replaced. Overall it's a nice cottage and these minor issues will not stop me returning."

"My friend and I stayed at the delightful Cwmtrwch Cottage from 9th to 16th October 2015. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be going back there at the earliest opportunity. The beds were really comfortable, something we often find seriously lacking at other places we have stayed in the UK. We went for a swim every morning in the extremely pleasant pool which was never crowded, and we also enjoyed the jacuzzi and steam room. A real treat! Our hosts, Stewart and Emma, were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The location was nice and peaceful. We had delicious cakes and tea in the cafe. Only and 15 minutes drive and we were at the beautiful Aberglasney Gardens and a mere 10 minutes drive took us to the fascinating National Botanic Gardens of Wales. Venturing further-a-field, we visited the stunning Pembrokeshire coast. All in all a very enjoyable holiday. Can't wait to go back again. Many thanks. Sorry about all the adjectives but I can't help it. It was so AMAZING!"

"This is the second time we have stayed at Cwmtwrch Cottage and we enjoyed it just as much this time as we did the first time. The main draw for us is the use of the indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and steam room. We walked over there every morning of our stay and had a swim plus a relax in the jacuzzi and steam room before breakfast. It was just what two busy, hard-working ladies needed. Tescos in Carmarthen was within easy reach for our shopping and we visited Dinefwr Park and Castle National Trust property and on another day had a good walk on the beach at Llansteffan. We also visited relatives while we were in the area and spent time with them. The cottage is very comfortable. The only disappointment about Cwmtwrch is the grounds around the whole complex. It looked very neglected and in need of some TLC. Can't fault the warm welcome we received though, from Emma and Stewart, our hosts. Lovely people! All-in-all a nice break in a nice place."

"The cottage has potential but there are issues. The kitchen needed a good clean before use. There is no WiFi which should be the norm for this type of rental. The washing machine is in an outbuilding next to the sit on lawnmower and we did not chance it's use. The TV was on the small side. Heating was difficult to fathom, either too hot or too cold. Mobile reception is non existent so lack of internet is really felt. The cottage is owned by the local hotel, when checking in the receptionist did not know which keys to issue or where the property was. You have use of the hotel gym and pool, unfortunately the hotel does not seem to open over Christmas, when we did see the facilities they were in a poor state of repair. They area is great with some good walks, country parks and great beaches."
