"Good points. Beautiful cottage with very comfortable beds and nicely decorated. Lots of storage for clothes and the washing machine came in very handy! Perfect place to relax especially with the hot tub which we used a lot and was cleaned every morning. Private from the holiday park, tucked away and surrounded by a lovely garden with trees/plants which kept it enclosed. Drive way right up to the cottage so you know your car is safe. Lovely welcome basket was waiting for us on arrival which we appreciated and thought it was a lovely touch. Tea, coffee, sugar and milk was also provided which was great.Things that let it down. The hob was difficult to use even with instructions, WiFi signal was poor and daily free allowance provided by the holiday park next close by didn’t last five minutes. No shop on the site either. Distance from nearby beaches meant a drive out each time. I stayed with my mum and two children aged 10 and 5 so we needed to go out everyday to keep them occupied. Distance to the bins on-site was too far which meant driving with the rubbish in the boot as the bin outside was not emptied for us.We loved the cottage but personally I think for us we need somewhere closer to the beach. The daily drives were draining by the end of the holiday. Perfect for a couple wanting to get away, relax and forget the world for a while."

"Comfortable cosy cottage ideal for two with a dog and that log burning fire was an absolute delight. The bed was just a wee bit small for two reasonably large adults but it did not stop us sleeping. The local area offers lots of fields, cows and sheep, streams and wonderfully green rolling countryside. There is a boozer some three miles away, great beer, serves food Thursday, Friday, Saturday and I believe Sunday. A car is essential, or bike etc. The owners are friendly, helpful and happy to welcome you into their very personal holiday home project. We loved the peace and quiet, yes we would go again and recommend this Corner Cottage to those seeking a brief respite far from the madding crowd."

"We've lost track of how many times we've stopped in Ty Melyn, certainly over 10 years. It's always so warm, clean and has everything you could need. The weather has not been a complete wash out but not exactly what you'd expect in August. A couple of wetsuits from Tesco saved the day and the boys have enjoyed the sea most days. We have caught a few fish, crabs and other sea life in the rock pools on the beach and a tiny fish in the stream at St David's. Enjoyed seeing the penguins at Folly Farm and had our usual trips for fish and chips to Somethings Cooking at Letterston."

"A lovely cottage in a beautiful setting. The cottage has everything you would want for a peaceful trip away. Each bedroom has a tv which is great for the kids and the hot tub is so relaxing after a day out. It’s secluded so you are not over looked. The photos don’t do the cottage justice. The pool and restaurant at the holiday park are great, the facilities are modern with the food being fresh and tasty! Could have eaten there all week."

"Really great cottage with all the mod cons and a really enjoyable four nights. Food at Charlie's on the park, and service throughout was superb. Very private, and hot tub was excellent. It is pretty remote - you need a dedicated driver really if you want to eat out anywhere else and both enjoy a drink, but generally easy to get to all local attractions. A drink in the Carew Inn opposite the castle as the sun sets is pretty special."
