"Disclaimer : We booked for 7 nights but left after 3. Decorators and builders were working on the properties next door throughout our stay, never more than 15 feet away. Despite the lack of privacy and the noise and dust the owner refused to refund us any money. As a consequence, here is my brutally honest assessment of the property. I've tried to be fair but I'm disinclined to be polite.Upsides:The cottage is finished to a good standard and we found the furniture and bed comfortable.Really good shower.Dog friendly.Downsides: Unfortunately, the bedroom was very hot, 23 degrees every evening, even with the windows open. The owner found this surprising as her winter guests had found it cold. There is a Velux window and limited headroom, about 4' 6"(?), along one side of the bed and because there is also very limited headroom in the seating area the whole of upstairs is very cramped. There is very little privacy. The neighbouring properties face you and are about 10 feet away and their balconies look straight into the bedroom. There is a screen partially covering the main window but if you wish to use the seated area or the dressing table you have to move it out of the way. The neighbours also overlook the "private" patio area and if they are in their gardens they are about 5 - 10 feet from the patio and the bathroom. There is no blind on the bathroom window. Many kitchen utensils are actually in the dining room on the other side of the living room. The walk/drive up from the road is very steep and narrow and the track is in very poor condition. The views are limited, mostly of the neighbouring properties, but the one from the patio is of part of the bay.Dog friendly, but not a great environment for dogs.No shelf in the shower.Be warned; the bungalow on the other side has planning permission to be demolished and rebuilt. The owner tried to be helpful but seemed to view any enquiry as a complaint and my wife found her attitude quite patronising. Overall, and bearing in mind I might just be a tad biased, I would say this is a couple of steps up from camping. Not much privacy, limited headroom and either very hot or very cold."

"Just back from a lovely weekend at this cottage. The location was beautiful, just a couple of pubs/restaurants, little shops and a pebble beach a minutes walk down the road so very quiet and relaxed. We could see the sea from the cottage which was nice. First impression of the cottage was ‘wow’. Most of it is beautifully decorated, although you can see the owners are working their way around improving rooms as the kitchen and bathrooms were a little dated. On closer inspection there were a few broken drawers/tiles here and there and mould in the downstairs bathroom but nothing that would put us off coming again. We’re already thinking of booking for next year as the local area had so much to explore. Tenby in particular was very pretty. I would have liked to give 10/10 but we had a couple of issues with cleanliness in some areas and as I say some of it was a little tired but I’m sure it will all be improved by our next visit."

"Shepherds Lodge was a lovely place to stay, sadly I missed the fact that the bathroom was downstairs which was a nuisance through the night, but that was my fault for not reading the information properly. It is very well equipped, and clean. The weather was terrible so we didn’t get to sit out much, but when we did it was a lovely view over the field with the lambs, and we did see several Red Kites which was a bonus. What we did see lots of were baby squirrels on the lane, so that was a treat. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and very thoughtful, some nice local treats and a bottle of wine."

"The heating system was full of air and made a lot of noise when it was on, this would be around midnight when it started. The rooms felt damp exspecially the lower rooms. There was hole in wall where plaster had falling from and had not been cleaned up, old popcorn was under settees in the front room, the football game in play room was broken, one kettle did not work. On positive side the property was spacious and there was tv in all the rooms which pleased the children, the garden was enclosed and it’s just right distance from the beach."

"My family and myself stayed at deep meadows for 3 nights and had a fantastic time the kitchen is fully equiped there is extra camp beds and travel cots in the cuboards the location is amazing its right on the beach and has a bar and pub with play area on the front its a 15 min drive to folly farm , oakwood , dino world , heathertons and tenby town , bedrooms are spacious and nicely decorated and beds are comfy only thing i would say is the dining table could be bigger but part from that i would recommend it :)"
