What our customers are saying about our Self Catering Holidays In Tenby.
Mrs Amanda Robb - verified booking
"The property description on the website is a fair one. We found everything much as we expected, and hoped for, as a couple of friends who wanted to explore this beautiful coastal area, walking every day but coming back to cook meals in the evenings. The cottage was more than well-equipped for our purposes. We liked the easy parking and the good light inside. The good-sized fridge was so useful in the hot weather, but we struggled a little without fans in the converted roof bedrooms. Pack light nightwear in summer! The roof lights do open, which helped a little. We appreciated the good storage space upstairs for our clothing - lots of drawers and hanger space. This is an end cottage on a busy road, so families with young children or less mobile people might find it a bit too far to walk into Tenby regularly, but we actually enjoyed the 20 minute energetic yomp most days, to and from the town, even loaded with supermarket shopping! It was very quiet in the evenings. There are some pretty countryside walks very close by for evening/morning strolls. The patio garden was by the road and you have to go out the front door and through a gate to reach it, but it’s safely enclosed, and it did provide a shady outdoor area to escape the heat. Overall, a very comfortable stay in a well-renovated, thoughtfully equipped, interesting little cottage! Recommend it! "

"The location of the property was just right. Nice and quiet and about a 5 minute drive from Tenby town centre. Had 2 reserved parking spaces for each cottage. The property was perfect for us with 2 good sized bedrooms, 2 bathrooms as well as a toilet downstairs. It has modern furniture with good appliances including washing machine and dishwasher. Beautifully clean. Couldn't find fault with it. Tenby was beautiful with lovely beaches with a lovely town centre with a mixture of shops. Would definitely visit "The Nook" and "The Cranny". Excellent fish & chips at Park Road Fish and Chop Shop. Plenty of places to eat and drink and has the added bonus of a Sainsbury's if you want to cater for yourself. Couldn't believe how cheap it was to park in the card park for the whole day. Just £4 for 24 hours. Would also definitely visit Barafundle Bay beach. Outstanding!"

"Excellent apartment that is very well equipped and spotlessly clean that sits at the top of a hill. You will need logs for the burner during colder months. No complaints from us at all. Only thing to note is that the steps are very steep down to the property so could cause a problem for people with mobility issues and the garden isn’t enclosed so our dog could escape if she felt like it. We didn’t hear any of the people above. The village of Penally is so friendly. Pubs are great and dog friendly. Can walk into Tenby via beach which our dog loved!"

"We had a lovely week at Swallow Barn and the cottage has everything you need for a self-catering break. The cottage is very comfortable and could easily accommodate 4 adults. The enclosed private garden was ideal for our dog to roam freely. The cottage is very private and not overlooked at all but is ideally located close to excellent walking on the coast path and for visiting nearby beaches and towns. We would highly recommend Swallow Barn and hope to return ourselves in the future."

"The approach to the cottage was narrow winding steep and very uneven to drive on. Not good for our car. If we had known the condition of the lane we would not have chosen this cottage. The cottage itself was quite comfortable, but the shower tray was very slippery and needed a shower mat for safety, also we were unable to use the balcony in the bedroom as although we could turn the key in it the door would not open. Overall the holiday was enjoyable."
