"Stayed for one week in June to celebrate a birthday with family. The cottage is absolutely beautiful, full of character and is perfect for families or groups wanting to spend time together. There is ample entertaining space, a large fully fitted kitchen (including an Aga & traditional oven), complete with everything you might need, even down to salt, pepper, tea bags, fairy etc. There is a downstairs toilet, a boot room for shoes/storage, a utility room with washing machine, sink and iron/ironing board, clothes horse – everything you could need! On the ground floor is a double en-suite room with walk in shower. Upstairs there is a beautifully decorated spacious twin room, which has a daybed (and another mattress) and an en-suite with a large walk in shower. Also upstairs is a spacious double room and the main bathroom, which is a little small (as is the shower cubicle) - but you are in a cottage after all. Above the double garage in the garden is the fourth bedroom with en-suite and a large living room with TV and kitchen area (think the sofa might also turn into a sofabed but not sure). This is great if you want peace and quiet away from the main house or for older kids. There is plenty of wardrobe spaces and hangers. The cottage is at the end of a terrace, and unlike the other cottages, has ample private parking and room to the side and back for entertaining. It’s a 10 – 15 minute walk to Lakeside Hotel and about a 25 minute walk to the Swan Inn at Newby Bridge and is a great base for exploring the lakes. We were lucky enough to have a full week of sunny weather and often enjoyed breakfast in the garden. A lot of work has gone into maintaining this cottage. Absolutely recommend. Note that there is very limited phone signal in the area...but of course the cottage has wifi, so you're still connected :-)"

"Accessing the property with the safe box is great. Location was brilliant. Access to summer house and BBQ was lovely as the weather enabled us to sit outside of an evening. The parking by the side of the house is very tight if you have to open all four doors. Kitchen was very well equipped. Beds very comfortable. An extra hand towel in the bathroom would have been useful as, as a female I require a body towel and a hair/face towel, being fussy I prefer a separate towel for drying my hands. Water was always hot and the shower pressure was great. The washer/dryer came in handy. Have already recommended the cottage and your company to family, friends and colleagues and would definitely like to come back. Thank you for all you help"

"Thank you very much. We had a fantastic week at Bobbin Mill. It proved to be exactly what we were looking for. There was plenty of room for our party and the setting was fab. The cottage had everything you would expect and more. A great deal of time, effort and thought had been put into the decor of this holiday home. Each bedroom was unique which add to the character of the property. There were plenty of local walks. The Aquarium, train and boat trips near by were also a bonus. I would love to come back in summer to take advantage of the beautiful garden and also to be able to pop to the Mill across the road. Thanks also for the cheeky bottle of wine on our arrival. It was a very nice touch x"

"We had a fabulous time in Kingfisher barn Staveley Cumbria. It was everything we hope for and more, tastefully furnished and like home from home. Great location for walking in the fells and only 10 minutes drive from Lake Windermere with it's bustling atmosphere and a wide variety of restaurants. An amazing place for star gazing as it has very low light pollution. The staff at the Cumbria office were extremely helpful and friendly, offering advice on places to dine that were nearest to the cottage which really helped. We would definitely recommend it, and would happily stay here again. regards the courtney family."

"The cottage was lovely - lots of space and light. There were eight of us and there was plenty of room. The kitchen was well equipped with gadgets - espresso machines, ice and water dispensers and an Aga, but lacked some basics like egg cups and a measuring jug! We really enjoyed the pool table and snooker table though it was a bit cold in February to stay in the garage for too long. There was plenty of parking in front and behind the property. We had 6 cars there at one point. We did have some problems with the heating and the fuses blowing but these were sorted out."
