"We had a lovely stay at the farmhouse, the weather was fantastic so made full use of all the outside eating spaces.Welcome goodies much appreciated on arrival. The farmhouse is vast so I can understand why cleanliness can be an issue for some but the position of the property out weighed any dust or cobwebs for us.Our only criticism was that we did not use the wardrobes in the main bedroom as they smelt very musty and there was evidence of mould in them. The bedroom did however have alternative hanging space so overall it wasn't a big issue. The mattress however in this room was; it was very soft and the springs could be felt which did not bode well for a good nights sleep. We were fortunate that we were a party of 4 in the end so had other beds available to use if this one became too uncomfortable but it never got that bad.Overall the position of the farmhouse made up for any little issue.( A few DVD's and maybe an upgraded TV was suggested by our 2 kids but this certainly wasn't an issue for me). I loved the peace and tranquillity of the farmhouse and made the most of the secluded gardens to catch up on some serious reading. The farmhouse is very well equipped and we would definitely consider returning as the closeness to Coverack is a big plus."

"The cottage was beautiful, fab location and plenty space for all 8 of us! The children enjoyed it and the big garden was well used. The games room was a brilliant addition and came in very handy. The house was well equipped with everything we needed however we were slightly disappointed as the gas bottle was empty meaning we couldn't have a BBQ. However the cottage met every other need in terms of kitchen utensils etc.The welcome basket of scones was greatly appreciated. The local pub and fish n chips shop in Coverack were amazing. My only criticism was the house lacked some cleanliness. When we arrived the floors were quite dirty, with bits of fluff, cobwebs, spiders and general dirt seen. You could feel the grit under your feet. I'm not sure if this is usual for the cottage or just an error on the cleaners part. As we had a 10 month old baby With us this was slightly annoying due to her crawling on the floor. As there was 8 of us more towels would have been useful but there was a washing machine which was well used. Overall we would not hesitate to come back and had a fabulous holiday. Would definitely recommend!! Thankyou"

"They have tried to cover this up with air fresheners but it is too overpowering. The smell was so bad that we decided not to unpack our suitcases so that our clothes wouldn't smell. At the end of the week the bedding felt damp and smelled badly of mould. The place is characterless and badly put together and has a very poor quality of finish with trunking, pipes and cables running everywhere, coupled with badly fitted ceiling panels and poor quality wall papering and decorating in general. Shelves are badly attached to the walls and there is a complete lack of kitchen worktop area which makes cooking very awkward. Other minor niggles. The TV is smaller than what you would expect and is much smaller than any other Cottage we have stayed in. There were cobwebs on the ceilings in various places and pieces of foam stuffed down the sides of the sofa and chair covers. We found a pair of someone else's glasses which the cleaner had missed. The owners were really nice and friendly people and provided welcoming cake on arrival. The place was generally clean (kitchen and shower room) but felt grubby!"

"We had a lovely week at the Farmhouse, there were 9 of us, including 3 small children and there was plenty room so we were not on top of each other. There were however a few things that have made me doubt whether I would go back. The house was not as clean as I would expect. There was mould in both showers, the small room smelt very musty and the top bunk was not safe, we ended up moving the mattresses and having to use a different room. There were lots of cobwebs, which I normally wouldn't have an issue with, but coupled with the other areas of uncleanliness it made it seem unhomely and uncomfortable, especially having children there. We also had an issue on the first night with the heating, however, a quick phone call to the owners and they had someone call and sort the issue very quickly. The games rooms was nice and was used by us. It's a pity the weather was not a bit nicer and we could have used the garden. All in all, the issues are nothing that a good clean, a lick of paint and an open window wouldn't sort, but it does feel a bit uncared for."

"We enjoyed our holiday at Trevothan, though we decided to leave a day early, mainly because of the bad weather. The farmhouse was very roomy but there were a few 'niggles'. The lack of hot water was an issue; I didn't manage to connect to the internet once whilst there which was annoying. We would have liked more helpful information, for instance, recommended places to eat and what sandy beaches we could take our dog to. We had to go out to buy bin bags as none were supplied. Many light bulbs didn't work and the TV had a mind of its own. The safety rail on the top bunk bed was loose so it was lucky that we didn't have to use it for a small child. The bath was tiny. I would be worried if I was disabled, hiring the farmhouse as the disabled features, although thoughtful, couldn't possibly work for a wheelchair user as none of the doors were wide enough. However, the garden was lovely and our dog loved it, as did we, although the weather meant we spent very little time in it."
