"It has obviously been newly decorated throughout and all furnishings and content are equally recently renewed. As dog owners we were pleased to have a secure private courtyard although be warned, we could not find a single dog poo bin in St Ishmaels. The village itself is very quiet and has no shop, so a 3 mile trip to the nearest post office/ store at Marloes is required for staples. The Brook Inn, is a nice pub, but dogs are not allowed in the bar. St Ismaels garden centre (10 minute walk from cottage) has a great Cafe, great for Sunday roast In terms of a base for exploring Pembrokeshire, the cottage is on the outskirts of the village on one of the main exit routes and is ideal for quickly exploring nearby towns and villages. Highly recommended are the circular coastal walk starting at Marloes sands National Trust car park (especially if you like Seal's) The walk to Dale via Monks Haven from the cottage is superb, Beach Cafe very good and great value (check the tide tables as this is a walk for low tides only) Pembroke castle for a good history lesson Stackpole Estate including Barafundle bay St Davids Cathederal and St Davids Head are marvellous, stop of at Solva on the way and walk to Gribbins Head If you like the great outdoors and a quiet relaxing break, this is one of the best locations you could wish for"

"The cottage is in a lovely little village close to the coast and ideal for walkers. There is a good pub 2 minutes walk away , that serves food, but no shop. There are 2 bedrooms, one is a mezanine double and the other a very large 3 single bed room. It is so well equipped that there was everything there we could want. The owner left milk, butter, tea coffee and welsh cakes that were very welcome after our long journey, but I would advise taking enough shopping to last a couple of days unless you want to go food shopping the next day !!.There is also a lovely garden centre about 10 mins away that does lovely food. I do have a couple of suggestions though. The shower tray is quite deep and a 'grab handle' would be useful when getting out of the shower. There are 4 steps up to cottage door and a handrail would make it safer to get in and out. please put the wi fi password in the cottage information pack ! it was tucked away behind a curtain !! Other than this it really was a lovely cottage and we enjoyed our holiday."

"The photos of this property are out of date. The house is badly in need of professional decorating, inside and out. What the photos don't show is that this is the scruffiest looking house on the scruffiest looking street in the village. It was at least pretty clean although would benefit from a thorough spring clean. It's dark and smelt musty every time we walked in. It's not very welcoming to come back to after having been out walking all day. I would give it 3 out of 5, which means I wouldn't go back I'm afraid. A vase of flowers and a few Welsh cakes waiting for us on arrival don't make up for what feels like a neglected property. Needs more attention to detail. The location is ok but there is only one place in the village to get food and that's the village pub which serves very average food. If you want a decent meal then you have to drive elsewhere. Only a 20 minute walk from the stunning coastal cliffs though."

"Hello, and thank you for the opportunity to be able to give some feedback regarding my family's recent stay at the cottage, Most of all was as it was advertised however there was no Wi-Fi at all neither any other channels on the TV as there was only the one which was due to poor signal at the property, normally this wouldn't matter as most people visit these locations for walking but as it was Christmas week we would have likes to have watched some Christmas TV. The main concern at the moment is the deposit which was for the cleaning bond of £ 125.00 this has not yet been returned to myself after meeting the requirements of Mrs Davies to pay within the 7 days of your stay which we done. It does also state that the money will be returned within the 7 days of departure, it is now 8 days and no money or no contact from Mrs Davies. Please can you look into this for me ASAP thank you. Mr West."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Haf House. Whilst it looks small on the outside, the cottage was spacious and plenty of room for our family of five. The cottage was clean and tidy and well equipped and in generally good condition. Probably one slight disappointment would be the outside space which whilst ok, was a a bit basic and not really suitable for young children. The village of St Ishmaels was a nice spot not too far from the coast and great for walking. There is a nice pub but no village shop. It is a great location to base yourself to get around Pembrokeshire being close to Dale, Marloes, Little Haven and Broad Haven and not too far from Pembrook, St Davids, Stackpole and Tenby and there are plenty of wet weather options in the area for adults and kids if it is not too good for the beach. If good beach weather there are a host of brilliant beaches of different character around the area."
