"The owners were very friendly and welcoming. The cottage is well equipped, the beds are very comfortable. The kitchen had everything you need. The garden was attractive and if the weather had been better we would have sat outside, the gate provided excellent security if you had a dog.In terms of location it was OK, only an hours run to most places. We went to Padstow which was delightful. Bodmin is ok for supermarkets but not a place to linger. The apartment was down a drive, needs better signage. The apartment is underneath the owners house in what used to be store rooms so the ceilings were a little low for my husband who is 6 ft 3. The big tv was great but would have benefitted from Freeview. We found the main settee uncomfortable. It is a nice apartment. We are not the best folks to review as we were both poorly and left after only 3 days. Nothing to do with the apartment or the owner, just a rotten virus."

"What a beautiful place to stay, fantastic views over the estuary, beautifully appointed with everything you need provided. Wonderfully comfy bed and a good shower over the bath in the en- suite. The kitchen has everything you need cooking wise and the tea bags, milk and saffron buns on arrival was a nice touch. Waterside is so handy for walking in to town, it really is just a few minutes away, so great for a morning mooch around heading in for breakfast or an evening stroll. Parking is up a pretty steep hill in the 'Main Car Park' (best got to from the rear of the property once your settled). You can pay up front for a week with 'Just Park' but that only gives you access to that car park. If you go online at Cornwall Council you can buy a weekly season ticket for 'Fowey Group' it's £5 cheaper and allows you to park in 3 car parks round Fowey. We loved it here and would not hesitate to come back"

"The positives of this apartment are it’s superb location and spaciousness. However it’s let down by poor furnishings which are very worn, although covered in very clean throws. The downstairs bedroom, although well equipped had a dehumidifier running on arrival and had a damp feel during the week. The washing machine had mould on the inside cover and the drier had a note on saying it had broken. The utility room door would not close as is handle mechanism had been removed and the hole covered with tape. The oven was not particularly clean and didn’t smell too good. A huge pile of local information was in the hall although useful, had leaflets that were a couple of years out of date. This was a shame as it could be so much nicer with some attention to detail."

"The house was a good size and spacious for7 adults and and a toddler. Each bedroom had an ensuite and good wardrobe space and draws. The curtains in the main bedroom were very creased and the bedding in all the rooms could be improved as it was very dated.Good size dining table but some chairs well used and clicked. The garage and the hut at the back had old curtains and sheets hung up at the windows and looked scruffy. The garden at back is a good size and nice dining table and chairs. There are some nice sun loungers but needed a good clean and one was broken. The garden had lots of nice pots in but they were all full of weeds which spoilt it.Lovely touch of cream tea left for us."

"We were abit disappointed after being told the Carlyon Bay beach was dog friendly all year to find out that it isn't from Easter to October this was the only reason we booked this property for beach location. I had also been informed there was a hair dryer so didn't take my own to save space but i couldnt find one so called the agents and it was all arranged very quickly and had a hair dryer brought to us first thing the following day 5 star service. Also found the mattress on the hard side.Otherwise it was a lovely stay with a beautiful beach and sea and great coast path walks to Charles town and duporth. The lost gardens of heligan and pinetum gardens are worth a visit."
