What our customers are saying about our Self Catering Holidays In St. Cleer.

"We liked the fact that we could easily walk into the town - but not the brief power cut we had on the first evening. It turned out that trees had come down in the storm. The Co-op, bakery, chemist, newsagent, bookshop and most of the antique shops were great and we also enjoyed the coffee shop. Of the places we visited, The Eden Project was our favourite and we spent all day there. We even found the lift this time! Mevagissey and Fowey were good places to visit, too, and we found that we could get into the harbour car park as it was out of season. Lowen Penty itself was comfortable, warm and very convenient to use. I especially liked the attractively furnished bedrooms and the friendly feel of the whole place. It feels like borrowing a home rather than renting a house!"

"The cottage was no as advertised. It stated it had a washing machine and it didn't. This has been removed. The website also advertised it as having a large garden and pond which is untrue as the photos of the garden are part of the owners garden which you do not have unlimited access to. You have to ask for permission to use the garden. The cottage was also full of spiders, I appreciate that there will be spiders but I would expect them to be removed before we arrive. The cottage it's self was fine. A better quality fan would be good as it becomes extremely hot in there. I believe the way this cottage is being advertised needs to be changed. I do give credit to Polly and Marc when the kettle blew up they were quick to make amends for this."

"Stunning location, very obliging managers, close to everything we wanted to see. After travelling 360 miles to get there we didn't want to be driving for hours each day. On two days we drove only as far as Liskeard Railway Station and back to Rosecraddoc in the evening. We were handy for Bodmin Moor and also the coastal villages of Looe and Polperro. The narrow lanes took a bit of getting used to but it was worth it. At Rosecraddoc we enjoyed several evening walks around the Lake and grounds, including a visit to their very own tavern. As stated, a stunning location, approachable and responsive management. Brilliant."

"Lowen Penty is perfectly situated in Lostwithiel. The property is close to the train station which is also ideal for exploring Cornwall, but I have to say we never heard one train. The property itself is bijou, cosy and comfortable. Being open plan, it has been thoughtfully furnished to ensure good use of space, we felt very comfortable and at home. The bed was amazingly comfortable, the gas fire and central heating soon warmed the cottage up. Such a lovely little cottage, we would definitely stay there again."

"We enjoyed our stay at Lowen Penty. Lostwithiel is a very interesting town with good facilities, including pubs, excellent fish & chip shop, places to eat, shops & train station. Within easy reach of local attractions, ie The Lost Gardens of Helligan, The Eden Project, The Duchy of Cornwall Nursery (including very good tea rooms). Restormel Castle is very interesting. Within easy reach of the Tintagel and Boscastle, coastal walks, to name but a few. Plenty to do, and well worth a visit."
