What our customers are saying about our Self Catering Holidays In St. Breward.

"We were very warmly welcomed by owners. We were given a tour of the house with all the explanations and the house was also cared for and decorated to perfection. There was a cream tea waiting for us with scones and coffee and tea and even a white and red wine. The house is very clean and the beds are lovely. The garden is spacious and beautiful and enough garden furniture and the view is beautiful. Are there no downsides? Yes, the house is surrounded by a cow farm and the ladies come by twice a day to be milked. No problem, right? Yes, the large amount of flies and the dogs can only be done on their own yard. The owners have also arranged a part of the garden for this. To walk with the dogs you have to drive away. The flies are fought inside with two electric flying lights and there is a fly swatter ready. We also did not know that the owners live upstairs. We had all the privacy but you heard people walking upstairs. This is getting used to if you have never had upstairs neighbors. More than praise for the house and the owners. We had a very nice luxury week here."

"My partner and I spent the most wonderful week at Otterbridge cottage last month (September). After a warm welcome from Jane, we were amazed at just how much thought and detail had gone into the cottages. They are not only beautiful with the most warm and cosy feel, but attention to detail is superb, with literally everything you need set out perfectly. The cottage was also dog friendly with a super, well contained, private garden straight outside the front door and even a welcome hamper for our dog! We did not go hungry either, with a delicious cream tea waiting for us on the kitchen table upon arrival. We are regular visitors to Cornwall and Penrose Burden tops everywhere we have stayed previously. The most blissful and magical week away - to top it off we also got engaged during our stay which was just the icing on the cake :-) So it was extra special to have a luxury cottage to spend our time in. Thank you so much Jane and family for a truly fantastic week away. We hope to visit again soon. Best wishes. "

"The Cornish Horizon team dealt with all my queries promptly and professionally, calling me back where necessary. Whether it was via the phone or with the staff in the Padstow office all the staff were friendly and very helpful. The Butterwell accomodation at Penrose Burden was absolutely beautiful, as this is newly refurbished for 2018 we were very impressed. The owners made us feel very welcome, beautiful welcome pack on arrival, extremely high standard of accomodation and furnishings throughout the property, plenty of little extras that make for a very comfortable and cosy stay, a real must for the perfect holiday location in Cornwall. Perfect setting for either an individual booking or as there are several properties on the one site, perfect for larger bookings, having your own accomodation, but with such a beautiful shared open space. Will definitely book again and cant recommend highly enough, fabulous!"

"The barn is beautiful and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with a fridge freezer and a dishwasher. Great sofas , big telly and a very comfortable bed. This is our second holiday here and we loved both stays. The location is fantastic, extremely quiet ,beautiful views from the garden and loads to explore. Both Darren and Dale are excellent hosts, lovely guys, always happy to help and nice to chat to about life and all that.On our first visit our car broke down and took several days to repair; they happily changed arrangements so we could stay longer and recommended a garage etc. There is an excellent pub and shop in walking distance. A perfect place for a holiday. We will return again soon."

"Friendly, welcoming and approachable owners available if needed for anything. Fairly remote location which was wanted but also only a short drive from plenty to do. Tea, (very nice) coffee, milk and a tasty cream tea! all available on arrival and much welcomed! Only minor point to consider was the WiFi arrangement. 3GB allowance given and very expensive top up rate offered (£20 for additional 3GB). May be something to consider, not too much of an issue as we only stayed the weekend but with time of year, and sometimes shakey tv signal might be more of a big deal to some. Overall very nice experience though. Many thanks"
