" This year there were more family’s with us, so we found this property and booked it up. Upon arrival, after around a 6 hour drive, we entered to property to find that size wise, it was perfect. However, as we went round the property it was very unclean as there were stains on the floor dust everywhere, huge cobwebs that were caped in dust! I got back in the car and took the 40 minute round trip to the nearest supermarket (Sainsbury’s) to buy cleaning products. I then found myself spending the next four hours cleaning the property! Not acceptable! We found that most of the lamps did not work and replaced bulbs in some, all outside lighting to the property does not work, the wardrobe doors in the bedrooms do not open or close easily and in one room they were broken. The general condition of the property is poor and in much need of tlc. The bathrooms desperately need replacing and some of the windows have been broken (latches) and need to be replaced. The conservatory was covered in dead flies! We would not recommend this property at all. As I said above, we have stayed in other properties in the area over the years all of which have been to a high standard and clean throughout. "

" Although it did take longer to get places it was a better road ,and we threw the satnav in the back seat. The house was lovely and met our need perfectly lots of space to find your own peace and quiet, we spent alot of time in the conservatory (however the rook leaks when it rains) We all ate together in the evening at the big dining room table and enjoyed sunrises on the balcony which was lovely, the view is stunning over the cove. The garden was perfect for sitting out, eating out, relaxing and for the dogs to run around safely they loved it .There were fresh flowers to greet us which was a nice touch. The rooms were spacious comfortable and basically clean, however cobwebs everywhere when you put the lamps on at night they really stood out, the kitchen was well equipped but a lot of the cooking equipment wasn't clean. The chandelier style lampshade above the dining room table needs washed and the balcony needs weeded soon !!Just small things but affected the feedback score of a really lovely place. Overall an amazing memorable family holiday, and we will probably be back.x "

"St Anthony View is situated in a beautiful position overlooking a small beach with beautiful shallow turquoise water. It is surrounded with tall trees, wild flowers and a plethora of birds and wildlife. It is so quiet it's like being in a little world of your own, and at night the absence of streetlights make it ideal for stargazing. The cottage is comfortable and very well equipped. It has been improved since the photograph on Sykes site with a new sun porch and cream cladding over the whole building, a very attractive property. We have been visiting the Lizard peninsula for the last 49 years and can truthfully say this is the best place we have ever stayed, it exceeded our expectations. I would not hesitate to book again into this property or recommend it to others, it was idyllic, we didn't want to come home!"

" It is unreasonable to expect people who don't have a 4x4 to negotiate the nearly half a mile of track down to what was very much like substandard student digs. We very much resent the telephone call from Luke (I think) to suggest that we stole two items. A mirror was removed from the bedroom and placed on the back of a door in the lounge/kitchen - AND LEFT THERE - as the other mirror was useless as it is located in a dark corner. The hyacinths in a wicker basket pot we assumed was a gift. All the other cottages we have stayed in came with gifts of wine, chocolates, etc. We have sent by recorded delivery the item in the basket belonging to Lesley King as she requested. "

" No traffic noise! Huge array of cookery books, BUT not something as basic as a potato peeler! Only a single oven glove, should be a minimum of two when handling large baking cookware and catering for a large number. Also disappointed at there being only one towel per person. Concerned over lack of basic information -eg local doctors surgery. Also we are keen on re-cyling and correct disposal of kitchen waste, etc. but there was no information about that or bin days. All previous stays at Sykes cottages have always had that sort of information and we assumed that it was the accepted policy. Apart from those little gripes, we had a lovely holiday. "
