"Firstly, the pictures of the School House do not do it justice! A beautifully converted building with more space than you can imagine for a party of 8 - my cousins and I were even able to dedicate the mezzanine level solely to yoga sessions, without the space being missed by the rest!! As a group, we spent most evenings cooking and eating together (every utensil, pot and pan imaginable are provided), then lounging around the wood burner with the drinks and laughter flowing, plotting how we could make the school house our own!!! I particularly enjoyed reading up on a little bit of history in the School House clippings folder - a brilliant touch. Would really recommend the pub across the road for a meal, very friendly atmosphere and although there were only two veggie options on the menu, the one that I ordered was delicious and we were provided with complimentary vegetables for the table, which is always a bonus!! We did not explore the village much unfortunately, but it was a very quiet setting. Further afield, the house is a short drive to Haverfordwest and Pembroke Docks, plus several beaches (we visited Freshwater West and Broadsands) walking trails (Stackpole and the Preselis), so is great for getting it and about in the days! As a group we all agreed, without a doubt, that we would stay here again based on the size, location and price. Our one and only qualm was that the water seemed to only runs hot early in the morning and we're a family of keen hikers... so trying to shower in the evening in a cold shower wasn't fun. Apart from that, 10 out of 10, and thank you to the owner's for providing so much to enable our stay to be so wonderful!!"

"This was a great property, spacious (with a separate utility room for the fridge/freezer, cooker, an extra sink, dishwasher, washing machine and boiler which left the kitchen nice and clear). The lounge is also large and there's a wide hallway. Perfect for small children with ride on toys to scuttle about. The outdoor eating area and lawn was great and the cottage was well appointed with everything you could possibly need (including a shed to store bikes if necessary). There's a clothes drying line fixed to the side of the house, perhaps during an autumn or winter visit you might need a fold out drying rack for in the cottage, but we didn't need this during our stay. The host was very friendly and helpful and the family live on site and were happy to interact with our children (2 and 5 years old who are very inquisitive and sociable!). A fantastic place for us as a family, great location, we really do hope to be back!"

"The School House was amazing, you couldn’t fault the facilities or the location. It was so well equipped & so comfortable with the added benefit of the most amazingly friendly pub, The Pump On The Green, opposite!! We had our elderly parents with us & the house was perfect for them. The only comment we would make is, perhaps it would be preferable to list the house as not accepting dogs. We had my sisters dog with us & I completely understand the dog policy in place but I know she felt on edge worrying about having to watch his every move in the garden!!!! It didn’t make the house any less amazing or comfortable but maybe it should be a consideration? Overall, it was a fabulous week, thank you Sykes & thank you Leonie"

"We enjoyed a lovely sunny week at Highbury, excellent facilities, really spacious accommodation. Kitchen was fitted out well (although having to traipse back and forth to the utility room to use the cooker and fridge was a little frustrating at times). The owners were friendly and helpful. Our children enjoyed meeting the chickens and 3 cats which were on site. There was a little noise from the B-road next to the property but nothing that really disturbed us. Highbury is really close to Scolton Manor which has a park and café. It is about 25 mins to the nearest beach. We were very happy visiting Pembrokeshire and would recommend this area highly."
