"The cottage is very comfortable and the back garden is very pretty. The lovely view of the fields beyond unfortunately was obstructed by two large trees. It is dog friendly so no worries of your furry friend escaping. It is peaceful and lovely to just relax and chill. There is a small bbq provided in the shed with briquettes etc and cushions for the wooden patio set.Shower/bath was great always plenty of hot water. The bed was comfortable and spacious (I want a queen bed at home now!) ?The lounge sofa and chairs are just like home from home (not a tiny conservatory suite) unlike some cottages we have stayed in.In the kitchen at the entrance the ceiling is a little low so be careful. I reminded my husband. to mind his head all the time and entering the cottage. ?There is everything you need in the kitchen apart from a microwave which would of been helpful but not necessary.Overall we wanted a relaxed week away and we got exactly that!"

"Our stay at The Apple Tree House was exceptional, myself and my family spent a week over Christmas here – what a perfect place for a wonderful family Christmas, loved by all, especially the dogs! From first contact to departure, the standard and service was above and beyond our expections. We were spoilt for choice with the bedrooms, out of the six exceptionally decorated bedrooms, we chose to stay on the top floor in one of the luxurious suites offering breath-taking views of Cliveden House. The beautiful décor throughout the entire house did not go unnoticed, it was the perfect location, the views overlooking the Berkshire countryside were splendid, watching the horses having their daily exercise was a perfect start to the day. I even managed a New Year’s Day dip in the hot tub, will definitely return again! Congratulations for creating something quite special. A fabulous time was had by all, what fond memories we have"

"We had a fantastic family holiday at Cedar House this July. Great atmosphere, beautiful garden and the tennis court, pool table and swimming pool were a big plus for all. There were pleasant gatherings on the terrace having breakfast or late afternoon tea and memorable moments playing games in the sitting room and listening to one of us playing the grand piano. What a pity that the state of the house and its content are gradually deteriorating. The cracked toilet seats, an upstairs toilet that didn’t flush, broken garden furniture, only six (mostly chipped) tea mugs and kitchen panels that kept falling down didn’t worry us because of the charm of the house, but made us wonder why not a little more money could be spent in order to fix such simple things.Having said this, we would most definitely recommend Cedar House because of its cosiness, its ’Brtishness’ and its suitability for memorabele family events."

"Cedar House is a very comfortable, relatively unmodernised family villa set in very spacious gardens. The rooms are well proportioned with high ceilings - save for the second floor bedroom with ensuite facilities. What let the property down slightly was the less than generous provision of basic amenties (minimal loo paper, next to no soap in the toilets, poor or no supply of all cleaning consumables in the kitchen) and the poor quality of the initial arrival reception: we had to chase for information from the owner/managers due to pool cover switch hidden by overgrown ivy, pool cover broken so not fully retractable and no information as to location of keys to games room and pool pump house. None of this materially detracted from our week long stay and supermarkets selling all necessaries are neafrby but this accounts for the reduced ratings on what is a lovely house."

"We rented Apple Tree house for a week away with friends. What a great house it is. From the well appointed kitchen, which turned into the 'hub' of the house during the holiday, to the modern and contemporary drawing room, and lovely morning room and snug, the ground floor accomodation was faultless. The kitchen itself is to die for, with everything available for a high end self caterer to a casual breakfast. The bedrooms are all finished to a very high standard, most of which were ensuite, if not bathroom adjacent. Top quality fittings and luxrious finishings made each bathroom special and unique. There's plenty of outside space, with a rear patio and furniture to while away lazy warm evenings, or a hot sunn afternoon. A house well worth considering."
