"We stayed in Cae Glas for Easter, there were 4 adults and 2 dogs. Although the cottage is only 2 bedrooms, it is large, light and airy. The two living rooms have high ceilings and are spacious. The kitchen is south (ish) facing and gets the sunlight in the morning. It is also large enough for 4 adults to sit comfortably whilst a meal is being prepared. Having the log stove in the kitchen really makes the kitchen a place to linger in the evening with a glass of wine. The livingroom has great windows so you can see the sea and the great orme in the distance, when we were there the gulf course just outside was inundated with rainbows. It is a view to just kick back and watch it change as the weather does. Location wise – it is easy to get to and get out to explore North Wales. It is also in walking distance to a great little pub which did excellent pub food and an Austrian restaurant (which we did not try) I would recommend this cottage to anyone."

"As an expat of North Wales I wanted somewhere to bring the family to explore Snowdonia and to visit family on the coast in July 2014. We have used Sykes Cottages before and were very happy with their service and honesty! This is a lovely, really well equipped, house with direct views of Snowdon and Yr Aran from two of the three bedrooms. Five of us and two Labradors stayed there for a week. We loved it so much we're going back in October 2014! It is perfect for local walks and to scale Snowdon (without having to car and park). There's a marvellous pub / eatery within crawling distance. Rhyd Ddu has a Welsh Mountain Railway station about 300m away from the cottage.. On that you can get to Caernarfon or Porthmadoc and places in between. Everywhere you drive is beautiful in this area. To summarise, this is a marvellous place to chill or explore and the owners deserve a pat on the back for their attention to detail!"

"Really nice well looked after cottage indeed. Clean, good sized rooms, kitchen fully kitted and log burner to keep us warm during breakfast nearby. Very family/child friendly - the attic became the games room for the kids - lots of board games, books and a DVD player. Superb view from living room and main bedroom, looking over the coast of North Wales. Well informed welcome pack and website to give us an idea of what and where to visit nearby. The property even provides a bucket and spade for the kids, a selection of tea and plenty of logs for the fire. The owners even called on arrival to make sure everything was ok. I would most definitely stay here again and recommend this cottage for couples and small families."

"The cottage was really clean and was conveniently located for walks in the hills, lunch in the pubs and for viewing the breathtaking local scenery! The boys enjoyed a day at the nearby dry ski slope, whilst the rest of us walked the dog through the hills nearby! I really want to go back to Dwygyfylchi because the area was beautiful, and all the people we met were really friendly and welcoming. The first thing we did was go to the little shop, where we had a conversation with the shop keeper as one can only have in little shops, and he even taught us how to pronounce Dwygyfylchi! I would recommend a holiday in this picturesque Welsh scenery to anyone and everyone!"

"We had a brilliant holiday. The setting was fantastic with the view of the mountain, lake and, best of all, the steam train. Personally I could have happily spent the whole week just in the garden as all the rhododendrons and azaleas were flowering and perfuming the air. And that wasn't all, there were many other interesting plants such as a handkerchief tree. There was an abundance of visiting wildlife including some very tame birds including woodpeckers who fed from the garden table as we sat next to it. The highlight was the voles that came out and shared our breakfast. A lovely property."
