"A little piece of heaven. Seldom has a place been made as lovely as Llanfendigaid. Very comfortable homely house. Need longer to see everything. We will be back. I found it very easy to imagine life here hundreds of years ago, very beautiful. A wonderful week with incredible sunny weather in this wonderful house. Thanks a lot, we really enjoyed it!!! We booked Llanfendigaid and Dove Cottage for a hen do for 20 people. The photos on the website really don't do it justice. The downstairs living space is huge. There is a drawing room, living room, large kitchen, large dining room and a huge utility, as well as a small room by the stairs and a huge entrance hall. The house is old and some of the decor matches its age which gives the house a lot of character. The customer services throughout the booking was brilliant and on arrival we were met by Graham who was lovely and gave us all the info we needed. We booked spa treatments with My Personal Sanctuary who were recommended by the owners of the house and they were brilliant. We also booked a caterer (Sonia Willard) who was fantastic and very good value for money. The swimming pool on the estate is a great facility and you can come and go as you please. The estate is in the middle of nowhere but that is all part of the experience. It's a short drive to the beach and we booked to do paddle boarding in aberdovey which is about a 10 minute drive away. We intended to have a relaxing weekend away and that is exactly what we got. The accommodation is brilliant value for money and we got so much more than we would have done anywhere else. We will definitely be going back either in a large group or in smaller groups in the cottages available."

"OH MY GOODNESS!!!! Well I grew up in this very area and it was a pretty horrific experience... however... Staying at Llanfendigaid has been a (without wishing to sound too 'wishy washy, left wing etc') truly amazing and healing experience. The whole manor is like a little piece of heaven and Graham (caretaker) could not have been more wonderful. I never thought that I'd be sad to leave Tywyn but Graham, his team and the amazing properties and beautiful surroundings brought me to floods of tears. If anyone needs a little time, away from it all to rejoice or lament... this is the place for you. We had the most perfect PERFECT holiday...and to think we were going to go to New York!!! Forget that!!! Llanfendigaid all the way!!! If you're thinking of anywhere else... forget it... this is the place to go!!! Arthur (the dog) had an amazing time too!!! PS. If you do run out of anything... there's a lovely little shop in Tywyn... about 15mins drive and they do all sorts of bits and pieces... JB Owens. Lovely staff :-)"

"This property is not a Luxery Cottage. Day one: Note left to say extractor fan not working in on suit bathroom, part ordered they would be in to fix it in the week still waiting, extractor fan on 24/7. Day two; Shower running on very hot or very cold Day three; shower as day two, tried to cook a meal on Sunday oven broke down after ten minutes of putting it on fused the place Day four; phoned Mrs Williams, said she would get a plumber to fix shower, and her Husband to look at Oven, she text us later that day to say they had ordered a new Oven and it Would be delivered next day. Day five; Oven arrived and was fixed that late afternoon. We could not use the freezer in the fridge as it was so frozen you couldn’t get anything in it. We would apriciate it if you would take use of your mailing list as this is the send place we have had problems with this year."

"Fantastic cottage in a brilliant location, with high views looking out across the harbor and bay. There are narrow lanes leading to the cottage, so travel with care, but if you are after a peaceful and tranquil location, then look no further. Aside from a footpath running parallel to the cottage (we saw the odd person using it), there is no one else around to bother you. The town is a 15 minute walk downhill, where there is a small local shop and several eateries (we can recommend The Dovey Inn). The beach is large with ample parking. We were there just outside of the Welsh Easter holidays so it was fairly quiet, I suspect in full holiday season it would be very busy. The cottage is expensive for what it is, but relaxing in the hotub on an evening staring out over the coastline - well, it was worth every penny!"
