"We were slightly disappointed when we arrived to find that Comraich was situated behind two houses at close proximity, so the view from the front lounge window was someone's back door and at the back directly behind the garden was a small housing estate in full view. The picture on the website is utterly deceiving. All the single beds are very hard and uncomfortable; we are foster carers and our eldest chose to sleep on the couch, the other two in the double beds, not ideal for our needs. The kitchen is a bit tired, the double oven has paper stuck on around the dials to show the on/off position and temperature and some of the pans/ utensils are burnt. The TV has a major problem with the BT Vision, a poor service with a loud buzz, so we had to use the Freeview which worked far better.Upstairs, the master En suite has a rusty shelf in the shower, and the toilet is not attached to the wall, so it moves forward every time you sit on it. The garden is not secure for dogs, there are passages either side of the garage to the front of the house ungated, where the dogs could run through to the bar gates that lead on to the short alley way between the houses in front of Comraich on to the main A84 road. The grass in the rear garden is chocked with moss and is spongy. We enjoyed staying in Strathyre, with its café, post office and local shop; it has two pubs, one directly opposite Comraich, and we drove to many places as it is a good central location."

"This holiday flat has been decorated to a very nice standard. It has been stocked with everything you could possibly need for your break away. We were given a very warm welcome on arrival and shown the property and had everything explained to us, how to work the dishwasher, light the wood burner etc. We were assured that if there was anything we needed help with or if we couldnt light the wood burner someone would nip round and help us out. We were left a lovely welcome basket containing some very nice goodies for us to enjoy. There was also a folder showing all the local walks and information on what activities were available to us. Local information on shops, bus & ferry details phone numbers we may possibly need during our stay. I have booked many self catering holidays and Island Escape is up in our top favourites. I would highly recommend this property. This accommodation is perfect for a couple or a couple with a small child, pets are allowed and there is a box of doggie nessesities, bowl, treats etc which was a lovely touch. There is plenty of outdoor space too which is shared with the other properties. Very nicely kept, clean & tidy. Short walk to shops, pubs, water front."

"My friends and I had a lovely weekend. . Very relaxing and very enjoyable however some furnishings in the house require attention, the main tv has a loud buzz coming from it which is very distracting, the toilet in main bedroom and downstairs take a long time to 're fill. . Both upstairs toilets move when being used.. the sofa and white cupboard in kitchen are very tired looking, the cupboards red handle came off when opened, the little shelves in the kitchen are all broken, the games room was a bit of a disappointment as it wasn't a room but very definitely a garage (not a converted garage) with no ceiling and poor lighting so we decided not to use it. However overall we had an excellent weekend. I had decided to book a beautiful accommodation to bring my friends to to thank them for all of the support they had given to me over the past year as I have had a very difficult year leaving me disabled but it was a bit of a let down once I saw all of the above. . It is a very beautiful accommodation but could be stunning if there areas were addressed."

"We really enjoyed our stay and were pleasantly surprised. The open plan living area was lovely with a fabulous large corner sofa perfect for stretching out on (It would've been good to have a blanket provided). Kitchen was well equipped (only thing we needed that wasn't provided was a rolling pin and scone cutter but not everyone will want to bake on holiday). There was always plenty of hot water and the house was generally very warm, however it would benefit from dealing with the drafts from the doors. The bathroom was excellent and having an extra WC was really helpful. Both bedrooms were a good size, excellent wardrobes and storage space. We were in the bedroom with 2 windows and found the mattress very soft which could be a problem if you have back trouble like us. The property is stylish but in a very homely way which was really nice. There are loads of walks in the area with the speyside way on the doorstep. Would recommend staying at this property which is well priced for what you get."

"We booked North Middleton Hall as our Home Base during a trip for 16 of us to celebrate my 40th birthday. The house was in a perfect location as we had ventured out for sightseeing and golf during a 10 day stay. The house is beautiful, huge, and had plenty of room for everyone to gather for meals, recapping our day, or just to put your feet up with a scotch and cigar. Armor was very responsive, checked on us daily, and was perfectly present and invisible. The home was very close to public transportation (walking distance) which are non-golfers could use to explore Edinburgh and beyond. The grounds were serene and peaceful yet the location was close enough to the city where we were not out in the middle of nowhere. Check out The Sun Inn for a perfect dinner out and I highly recommend Delilicious Catering to provide breakfast and dinners for your group."
