What our customers are saying about our Self Catering Holidays In Scotland.
Mrs Ann Parry, St. Helens, Merseyside - verified booking
"The owners were wonderful hosts; available if needed but not intrusive. They had thought of everything that holiday- makers might need for their stay. There was a lovely tea tray with scones and jam on arrival. The location was superb - just what we wanted for a relaxing family break. It was remote enough to get away from it all, but close enough to Oban and other places of interest to be convenient. The cottage has recently been refurbished. It was very well equipped, comfortable, clean and bright and contained everything that we needed. It was a lovely place to return to, especially when the fire was lit in the evening. The added bonus was that we had sunshine for much of the week and we made several trips down to the nearby river in the evenings as it stayed light until after 10pm."

"When we booked the apartment, what we were looking forward to was a quiet Christmas week on our own to relax for a bit - and we were more than impressed. The apartment was absolutely sufficient for two people, and everything was very clean and neat. There had obviously been taken great care with the preparation for our visit. There was also a selection of books and DVDs one could use for entertainment, as well as well working WiFi. The cottage was about two minutes away from a big Co-op and the general main street with shops, and about seven minutes away from Jedburgh Abbey. All in all, this place saved our Christmas and we're looking forward to returning at some point."

"We stayed at this property for 1 week in October. It is a lovely property and our concerns about whether it would be warm enough were soon dispelled. The temperature in the building remained fairly constant in the range of 18c (first thing) to 22c. It is light, stylish and comfortable. The location is very good with Nairn 8 miles away and Inverness 16 miles with a lot to see in the area (e.g. Culloden, Fort George, Brodie and Cawdor Castles and distilleries). There are also lovely walks from the property. 2 interesting nearby places are Ardlachan Bell tower (20 mins walk) and Dulcie bridge. Beautiful River Findhorn approx 25 mins walk away."

"The elephant house is a fantastic base for a holiday if you want relaxation or sightseeing. The house itself is lovely and cosy, it stays very warm but there is a log burner if you need some extra heat (or just enjoy a nice fire). There are some lovely walks from the house and the grounds are big enough to have a stroll around if you don't want to go far. The small shop is well stocked with jams and there is usually bread available as well as some shortbread sometimes - I recommend making use of it as the food is delicious! Overall, we had a fantastic time and will definitely be going again soon! Well worth a visit!"

"This was our second visit to the cottage and we were not disappointed. From the moment we entered the cottage to be greeted with a very welcome refreshments tray - tea and coffee with scones and jam - to when we left at the end of the week we felt very much at home. The owners were available to deal with problems but were not intrusive. The location of the cottage was perfect for short and long walks and was within easy car access of places of interest. Even the mixed weather we had did not lessen our enjoyment. Hopefully we will return. Many thanks."
