"Stayed at cottage from 6th July-13th July, location, scenery and hot tub fabulous although hot tub was not the cleanest when we arrived although my husband had mentioned this concern to owners after reading previous visitors reviews. They ought to be maintaining hot tub daily especially when a party of 6 as we were are using it daily. The cottage itself was a huge disappointment 😔 back bedrooms bed is badly broken and expect a visit to chiropractors after your stay. Extractor for cooker not working, dining table leg broken, one of single beds broken, practically no running hot water in bathroom sink and not much power in shower. No bike shed as stated, front bedroom wardrobe doors broken, bbq filthy on arrival, hoover smelt of wet dog which was absolutely disgusting also musty smell in bedroom cupboard aswell as throughout whole cottage on arrival. Overall was really dissatisfied would recommend overhaul and replacement of many items especially the hoover. In no way good value for money costing much more than it’s worth. Certainly would not be returning 😡😡"

"Our stay over New Year was pleasant and comfortable, the cottage was warm and very spacious. The cottage was fitted thoughtout with underfloor heating which got quite hot on the first night but we was able to get it turned down for the remaineder of our stay. The cottage was decorated lovely for Christmas and the snow outside made for a picturesque stay! The rooms were large and the kitchen well equipped, I was even able to make a 4 course New Years dinner. My group of 5 hope to revisit again in the future, potentially summertime as there is a lovely patio at the back which would be great on a summers evening. I feel the pictures don’t do the cottage justice, the cottage was much larger and more modern than we expected! The hosts were very helpful and attentive, they couldn’t have been more helpful, they even gave us suggestions for places to visit. If you are considering staying at Glenside Cottage, I definitely recommend."

"The cottage was historically interesting, beautifully clean, and Jenette was friendly and helpful. There were some downsides, though I feel mean mentioning them. The back garden was not very dog-proof, despite the addition of a couple of gates that our cockapoo bounded past immediately; the stairs were very steep; the bed was softer than we were used to; and the kitchen was a bit cramped. Equipment levels were inconsistent: there must have been about 50 plates but only two forks, and we ended up arranging our groceries on the worktop because the cupboards were so full of other stuff. The TV and DVD were not connected when we arrived, so we had to pull the units out and disconnect the Freesat to free up the scart cable. There were three radios but they were all non-working and ornamental. Overall we felt we were squatting in someone else's home rather than being given the space to make it our own."

"We stayed here as my husband was working in Glasgow. It is in superb location, not far from Mugdock Country park and Highland way . You can get to Loch Lomond in under half hour and then take a train in central Glasgow as 2 mins walk to nearest train station. The cottage is beautifully kept, loved the garden room with sunshine coming. Jenette was on hand if you needed any help. The cottage was highly equipped with everything to higher standard than most with lots of cooking stuff, all small things you need for a stay. We loved it here and could also walk our dog to nearby park up the hill for short walks. The beautifu Mugdock park is amazing and had lots of walks within 2 mile drive away that links into highland way. My dog Jack loved that place. There are lots of supermarket ranges nearby and so close to main city for culture. We will come back definately"

"This was a lovely cottage on both inside and out. Beautifully decorated, modern interior, cosy log fire and comfortable beds. The only drawback was the lengthy access road - don’t underestimate this, it really is a bumpy ride up to the cottage. There are no footpath walks from the cottage and there are no shops in walking distance so you have to negotiate this pothole filled road every time you want to go out.The second thing for me was the far from peaceful location situated yards from the very busy dual carriageway A9/M9. Heavy traffic all day and most of night. I wish we’d been warned in advance. For getting to places of course this road is a huge advantage so if car/lorry whooshing sends you to sleep then this is the place for you. Scottish scenery in the hills and forests is breathtaking as are the lochs - so that saved the day for us."
