"We are a family of five and we found the accommodation to clean and homely and big enough for us. We all found the beds to be comfortable, and I especially loved the huge bed in the main bedroom! We appreciated the welcome pack of tea, cakes, milk and biscuits meaning we could have a cup of tea on arrival before unpacking. The house is located on a quiet street and it has sea views from the back bedroom. There are pubs and a shop within walking distance and Saltburn is a short 5 minute drive. We had a minor maintenance issue during our stay but had good communication with the owner who promptly visited the property to assess and sort. The DVDs, games and jigsaws were appreciated and were well used during our stay. We found the house to be a home from home and we were sad when the time came to leave."

"Three generations of our family, including boyfriend, were holidaying in Staithes for one week. Kingfisher House provided us with a great location at the top of the village, very close to the local pub and within walking distance of plenty of amenities: pubs, cafe, shop and local modern supermarket. Staithes is quiet and perfect for a get-away with excellent access to beaches, cliff-top walks and the moors. Kingfisher House was more spacious than we anticipated and provided ample space for us to spread out. Everything that we needed was to be found in the well equipped kitchen, perfect for self-catering. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms were roomy each having their own en-suite facilities. We were very happy with our visit and would recommend Kingfisher House to others too."

"Lovely clean period property with high ceilings and spacious rooms. The kitchen was well equipped and there was a brilliant welcome pack, tea, coffee, biscuits, milk etc. The three en-suite bedrooms (small sinks), suited our needs for varying ages and needs with plenty of storage and coat hangers. The top floor offered a vast bedroom with fridge/kettle and bathroom with bath. Much needed after days with long walks!Kingfisher house was well situated in Staithes, a lovely little seaside village with shops, old and new working well together. Would recommend the quiz night at The Cod and Lobster, but make sure you get there early. Overall a great place to stay, everyone was so friendly and Lynn our host made us feel very welcome."

"This is a lovely property, full of character and very spacious, ideal for a big family get together with each bedroom having its own ensuite. Unfortunately the house was not very clean and really needs a thorough deep clean. Although the owner had made a point of saying let her know if there was anything a miss and she would put it right we felt that to have bought the cleanliness up to an appropriate standard she would of needed the house free of guests and a good couple of days to of achieved this. We paid £795 for a 4 night break which would of been acceptable had the house been up to a better standard of cleanliness. We did note that other guests had written similar remarks in the visitor book."

"Quirky, comfortable venue. You really are up with the stars ( or the birds at least!)Just about everything we needed for a couple, though expected a microwave which wasn't provided. Beautiful roll top bath for lazy baths after full days out in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Stairs are steep and narrow, but this did not inhibit us. We self catered , and the apartment was great for this. Super butchers in the village, plus a well used fish and chip shop. Runcible Spoon Cafe is at the base of the premises , which do food daytime and some evenings. There are low beams throughout, which does take a bit of getting used to , but well worth it as it's a delightful place overall."
