What our customers are saying about our Half Term Self Catering Holidays In Penmynydd.

"This is a lovely cottage with stunning countryside views from the lounge and kitchen window. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. My only negative would be that the mattresses need changing on the beds. Its nicely decorated with plenty of room. The bedrooms and bathroom are on the ground floor with a open plan kitchen, dining table and lounge on the first floor. A bottle of wine, chocolates, welsh cakes and a bara brith cake greeted us upon arrival. In the area there is a Tesco extra which is about a 5 to 10 minute drive away. Also Harveys an American restaurant is next to Tesco and Mc Donalds close by. Would definitely recommend Zip World, Portmeirion and the steam train ride from Porthmadog to Blaenau Ffestiniog. There is so much to do in North Wales with unspolit countryside and stunning waterfalls. We had a lovely time and would love to return one day."

"This was a comfortable house to stay in but we found the mattresses uncomfortable and the lighting throughout inadequate. My son's room had no bedside table or bedside light. The fridge was only partly equipped with no shelving on the door so we had to take trays out to put bottles in. There was no welcome pack so we had to call up for the wifi code. On the second day the wifi stopped working altogether. The bedrooms could use a chair to put clothes on, and the kitchen could do with some wooden spoons as we cooked in. Most importantly, the directions given to get to the cottage weren't specific enough. There is no name on the property at all, and we arrived at night. The contact was nice enough to come out and guide us in! Nice house, just a few points to work on."

"The house is clean, comfortable and well-decorated, and Mr and Mrs Farrall were excellent hosts. The personal welcome and guided tour of the house from Mrs Farrall, plus welcome pack, made us feel very much at home, and we were impressed that Mr Farrall very kindly came round and changed the bathroom light for us when the lightbulb went. Gwalchmai is a quiet village but is in easy reach by car of the North Wales coast and all parts of Anglesey, so it is a good base for a family holiday. We found plenty to do even on the rainy days. The local supermarkets at Llangefni are easy to get to by car, and for papers, milk, bread and other everyday supplies, the local shop is easy to walk to. I would recommend this property for a family holiday."

"Positives of this property:Great location Fantastic base for exploring SnowdoniaWell equipped property Immaculately cleanGreat quirky layout to maximise viewsThe one big negative was the mattresses! You could feel individual springs which made for terrible sleeps! Even the children who are a couple of skinnies commented on their beds being so uncomfortable. Otherwise this property would easily be 10/10.Would’ve been helpful to have some local information about the property and the area but we had a great time! Would love to return with new mattresses!"

"Well equipped and comfortable cottage with all the nice touches which make it very user friendly. Equipment is high standard down to the Nespresso machine and the excellent cooker facilities. We also had the use of a really good gas BBQ. A pity that the outside seating is limited and in the shade for afternoon/evening. You also need to be aware that it is part of a caravan site and faces a row of mobile homes. However it was quiet when we were there and everyone was very friendly. Site owners really helpful."
