"A beautiful holiday cottage in a wonderful location. Bayview has been renovated to a very high standard and has been decorated and furnished with style and taste. It is very comfortable and very well equipped. The owners have thought of everything. They even provided home cooked dinners in the freezer for guests to purchase as the dining-out opportunities on Sanday are rather limited. They also make dogs very welcome. There was a lovely collection of food from the island to welcome us - fresh free-range eggs, Orkney butter, homemade jam and shortbread and a local loaf. There were even treats for the dogs, dog bowls and towels and dog toys.We had a wonderful relaxing time in this comfortable cottage. The location is quite unique - between the sea and a loch and it's very quiet. The ideal place to get away from it all. We didn't want to leave and we certainly want to return!"

"Egypt is a lovely place to stay. The view is wonderful. The house is very comfortable and well furnished in a tasteful and artistic way. We thought it had everything possible you would need, and some delicious local produce was provided for us on arrival as well. There is also an excellent restaurant in St Margaret's Hope open all day , and a shop for groceries. The road up to the house is steep, but did not cause us a problem . Perhaps the only slight criticism would be that the double beds were a little on the small size for us because we have king-size beds at home. Otherwise this is a perfect house in a perfect spot and we would love to stay there again one day. Highly recommended."

"Best accommodation on our visit to Orkney. Frank was very welcoming from the off even though we turned up early. We were aware of perceived negatives, like no wifi or paying for your electricity after first £5. So we planned for it even though we are regular internet users it wasn't a problem. Lovely harbour views from the flat with coming and goings of tourist divers, fishing vessels and ferries. Local amenities are available but they are not cheap. The space we had in the flat was a positive surprise with plenty of excellent artwork. Thank you for a lovely stay."

"Very nice flat, good size and well equipped although WiFi would have been nice. Excellent location within a minute of pubs, restaurants and shops. You could see the constant harbour activity from the windows. Great for a boat buff like me. I had been to Orkney before so the beauty of the islands did not surprise me, but went to a couple of the outlying islands, Hoy and Rousay, and they were great. The Neolithic sites are always amazing and the less mystical modern attractions such as the Highland Park distillery and Orkney brewery are also pretty spiritual."

"This is a beautiful croft cottage which has been carefully looked after and keeps its original charm. It is very simply furnished, but very comfortable. Richard made us really welcome and encouraged us to keep as warm as we needed to. There was lots of hot water which was lovely. The setting is stunning, right next to a pristine sand beach and dunes, with wonderful walks all around. We have two dogs and they could roam freely around the cottage, which they loved.Lots of seals and seabirds, a place of wonderful peace and tranquillity."
