"Generally nice house. Enough room, and the children loved the table tennis table. Reliable wifi.House advertised as sleeping 9, but this relies on a worn-out sofa bed. Dining table didn't seat 9 comfortably. Oven small - only 2 racks. Quite a few small annoyances. No locks on bathroom doors. No door on one ensuite, and large mirror right opposite, so you can see into it from the bedroom door (which doesn't lock). This ensuite does not have a toilet. No curtains in main bedroom. Inadequate blind in ensuite that overlooks balcony. (Had to close shutters in both cases.)House not cleaned before our arrival. We found a broken toilet seat (not fixed during our stay) and lots of cobwebs.Parking is tricky. There is a drive and a garage, but both are narrow and hard to access due to cars parked right opposite house.Good bakery, small supermarket and station all within easy walking distance. Not a touristy region, but some good attractions within reasonable distance e.g. Paris, Parc Asterix, Parc St Paul."

"Beautiful, classic, French house in small village under the smoke of Paris. When you enter the gate and enter the courtyard, you leave everything behind you, so to speak. The holiday home is very spacious with a cozy living room and large kitchen. Thick walls and shutters in front of the windows ensure that it stays nice and cool inside, even during the heat wave in the summer of 2018. Large garden where you can eat and barbecue under a shelter. We were warmly welcomed by the hostess who speaks Dutch well. Good tips and information about what you can do in the area. For example, you can be in the car in Paris in an hour. Then you put the car in a parking space reserved in the internet in a parking garage and then continue into the city by metro. And that at four and a half hours drive from the Netherlands! Had a great holiday!"

"It was a wonderful holiday but also a family reunion to celebrate a 50th Wedding Anniversary and a 25th Anniversary. We all live far apart and our last family reunion was 5 years ago. The Chateau was absolutely perfect for us, even with 16 people there was more than enough room for everyone to spread out, and one could still find a secluded cosy nook to read. The children enjoyed the games room and the tv room. The huge dining room with its two large tables made meal times very pleasant. The grounds were very spacious and the tennis courts and trampoline were well used. Some of the children had their bikes and enjoyed riding around without the adults worrying about traffic. We were lucky to have beautiful weather our whole visit. At the end no one wanted to leave, we all had such a great time! Hope to return one day."

"We are warmly welcomed at our holiday address. The hostess spoke Dutch and gave a tour of the house. The beds were nicely made and even towels were ready. What a welcome! An atmospheric 18th century country house with a large garden full of color and nature. A fairytale environment when you go through the gate of the mansion. For the children a ping pong table and wifi. For us a house full of art, music and books (also Dutch). The spacious kitchen has a cooking area where food is a party. Outside there is a covered terrace with a barbecue. With 7 people in a house, without walking each other's feet ..... what a wonderful place! Sun seen, shooting stars, beach nearby and in the Louvre ..... that combination you do not often against. With or without children, we'll be happy to come back !!"

"Chateau looks good from the outside but step through the door and it is a totally different story. It was filthy, infested with ants in every room downstairs especially the kitchen, the decor is in desperate need of attention, showers with no hot water in 2 rooms, it had been very poorly cleaned, food still on the placemats on the dining table which the ants were enjoying when we got there, mould, peeling paint, layers of dust, cobwebs everywhere, the top floor rooms smelt especially after a good downpour of rain, The photos on the website give a completely wrong impression of this chateau and I would NOT recommend it to anyone, We as a group found it disgusting."
