What our customers are saying about our Self Catering Holidays In North Yorkshire.

"We booked Leyburn Manor for three nights including Valentine's Day. The idea was for our children and grand-children to get together all under one roof. We arrived first and were absolutely blown away with everything we saw. I couldn't wait for the rest of the family to arrive. I can still hear their gasps of "wow" and see the looks of wonder on their faces. There were seven children ranging from two to eleven years. Nine year old Jack made straight for the snooker room - he loved it. This was also popular with the adults. The younger children enjoyed the freedom of space and needed very little in the way of any other entertainment. Wonderfully comfortable beds set in huge bedrooms with ample spacious, interesting bathrooms. All nineteen of us sat round the dining table for Sunday dinner. Cooking together in the well equipped kitchen was fun. I loved the house so much I could have spent all my time in it. We did, however walk to Leyburn and two families explored the castle and the children played in the house's garden. A beautiful house in a lovely part of Yorkshire."

"Lodge itself is lovely and well appointed. The location however is something that isn't great, no signage to show where lodges were, the road that should have a 5mph speed limit was not adhered to by one farm vehicle or any vehicle visiting doggy day care and you can't move about the farm due to health and safety restrictions. If you have little ones be careful getting in and out of the car as it's open to the busy road, and main bedroom looks onto the cattery. Now to the good bit inside very new and modern, lovely kitchen appliances but no washing up liquid or things to wash up with. If a group are staying best you know each other really well as bathroom nearly in living room. Outside a lovely decked area with table and chairs and a wooded garden but not totally safe for little dogs due to fence as they can escape. With all the land on the farm if they relocated it it would be more private and quieter."

"This is a working farm and has all the noise and smells of a working farm, the family are friendly and the farm is very clean. This was a fantastic holiday for my family, a well placed location for the area close to Harrogate and York. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone who would be interested in visiting Yorkshire. The cottage is on the A59 and has so many places to visit Knaresborough castle is only 20 mins away and York 30 mins. Lovely driving through the County, we drove to Gauthland and caught the steam train to Whitby, and the chocolate experience at York is a must. Plenty of great places to eat out that are close to the cottage."

"The cottage's location is ideal for walkers, and we were were to do several excellent walks over 6 miles directly from the cottage. Views from the cottage are stunning and it is set on a relatively quiet hillside farm. The cottage is well kept and modernised. It's a longish drive to a supermarket so either factor that it or bring what you need from home. Local village stores have a few things like milk (but get there early). There is no mobile phone signal and the wi-fi connection speed is very slow, and sometimes unusable. The quietness of the location is only marred by two yappy, small dogs (not the farm's other working dogs)."

"We stayed at Clematis Cottage and were very satisfied. The cottage is beautifully appointed and has excellent specifications. The shower and bed were especially fabulous. There was just the right level of communication from the owners: we were welcomed a little while after finding the key and settling ourselves in and we were also warmly sent off on our last morning. The extra facilities - use of the tennis court, games room, washing machine & dryer etc - were an added bonus to an already great little cottage. Overall we'd have no hesitation in recommending the cottage and would love to return at some point."
