"Off the Network Away from it AllThis holiday cottage sits in splendid isolation across the yard from the main farmhouse. Entrance door leads to kitchen diner sitting room. Kitchen has under counter fridge, microwave, oven and hob plus kettle and toaster. There is access to a washing machine in an adjacent building if required. Whilst all requirements foŕ crockery, glassware, cutlery and kitchen ware are provided there is little space left for storage of anything you might have bought or brought with you.Sitting area has an aging Queen Anne style three piece suite, a small breakfast bar the only dining area. In addition to a television there is also a wood burner to supplement the under floor, central heating in more inclement times. Small step down to toilet and shower also good size double bedroom.Stairs to twin bedded eaves space. Sleeping under the beams, heavy weather is more apparent than might otherwise be the case.In keeping with the kitchen the rest of the cottage has little storage space, only a large wardrobe space and three drawer chest in the main bedroom and a wardrobe with drawer upstairs, small three drawer bedside unit. There are a number of low level chubby holes but these are are hardly useable. There is a sheltered patio seating area to the rear of the property.Having said the property is on a working farm we never saw and heard little activity near the cottage during our stay.Whilst generally well presented, given previous reviews the cottage was not as clean as expected especially kitchen areas. Beds and bedding ok, with provided bed linen and two very fluffy but ineffective towels for each guest. There are also soaps and washing up liquids. Owners also thoughtfully provide a torch.Given the remote location and thickness of the walls internet and mobile phone connections are minimal. We occasionally got signal around the yard.Directions to the farm are good, don't follow the postcode, for those insistent on technology the what3words location, cities.spurted.smooth.Bring a pair of wellies if you want a tour round the farm, watch milkingLocal village also big four supermarket within 5 miles."

"This was our first holiday in the area, there are some lovely places to visit and walk, which was our reason for choosing this location. Pathacres was clean and tidy on arrival. It is a spacious accommodation, except the compact kitchen area but it does lack some finishing touches. The bedroom is large with an excellent walk in wardrobe but it would benefit from a dressing table with chair and mirrors. Only mirror was in the bathroom. Also a clock in the property would have been beneficial. Plus there was no DVD player as advertised. The property has large windows giving good views of the surrounding area as it is in an elevated position, but not all the windows have blinds or curtains. The bedroom ones do. The property has two external doors both of which are poor fitting and extremely drafty, which could be a problem in the colder weather. We found there was no information available in the property informing guests of how to sort recycling waste or when bin collection day was. There was limited information on places to visit in the area and no guidance on how to operate the central heating controller. We figured it out by trial and error so an information leaflet would have been helpful. Be aware access to the property is up an un-maintained lane from the main access road. The property was private and quiet, if the weather is kind to you then the balcony offers a good place to sit and take in the views."

"5 of us and a dog stayed here for 3 days. The house itself is a spacious bungalow with a modern fitted kitchen and bathroom with roll top bath and there is a small outside area. It was clean and comfortable for what we needed however I feel it could do with a few extra things for it to be rated higher. As it can sleep up to six people, I felt the equipment in kitchen was a little sparse especially if you are planning to cook meals (like we did for two of the nights). There was only one shelf in the oven, one small pan, a tiny grater, a minute kitchen bin (we used our own bags so we could separate recycling/food waste! We didn't bring any dishwasher tablets and none were provided. Some general information about the house/area would have been great especially about the bin collections. On the first morning, bins were collected but we didn't realise until going out late morning and as the bins were not out on the pavement, there were not collected. There were already rubbish bags left by previous people by the side of the bins when we arrived as the the recycling bins were already full. The garden could really do with a makeover to bring it in line with the interior of the house as it is a decent size and potential to be lovely area to sit outside to have a meal. All in all, a good stay."

"I would recommend Tyddyn Fron Bach, but with certain reservations. It is highly suitable for those with limited mobility, being all on one level - although the shower is over the bath, so not so good for a stay of more than a few nights if you're disabled. I can't get in and out of a bath any more. The patio garden is certainly enclosed and private. Unfortunately this means there are no real views from any of the windows in the cottage, as the patio is enclosed by a 6 foot wooden fence! Even a few pots of flowers would have brightened it up a little and made it more welcoming. It felt rather like sitting in a prison yard. Happily the weather was good, so we were able to spend most of the day away from the cottage enjoying the countryside around and about. The open plan living room/kitchen is convenient and modern. and the bedrooms are comfortable. I think it would also be tactful to reword the arrival sheet. Having spent out over £300 for 3 nights I don't enjoy being told to leave the house clean and tidy and to make sure everything is moved back to where we found it. My stepson owns a holiday cottage. He employs a cleaner and doesn't expect those who pay to spend precious hours cleaning and tidying."

"On arrival we noticed a fusty damp smell all around the cottage, but it was really strong in the third bed room, on investigation there was mould behind the bed, the room was not usable and when the grand parents came to visit they had to book into a hotel. On the roof the owner had put some plastic and pallets to fix a leak. The beds were really uncomfortable and the owner had put two thin quilts in each cover so they kept bunching up inside the cover, there for every other day I was redoing the beds. Also the storage heaters had been turned off at the master switch so we had no heating for the first two nights (when we rang the owner he did tell us that he had turned it off and had meant to turn it back on but had forgotten, he did however have two heater brought round so as we were not cold for another night. It was a lovely cottage and location. The owner was very nice, it was a shame that we have had to give a negative review."
